Examined Life

A.M. Morgan
U-turns
Roundabouts
Detours
Switching Lanes
These are the challenges of life which place me in periods of constant changes

Stop
Go
Backtrack
Proceed with caution
These are things that sometimes delay the start of my day; and in an act of reverence I have to pray for guidance and strength

Heartbreak
Love
Deception
Manipulation
These are indications of the traffic jams in my life; and through it all I have to force myself to do what I know is right

Choices
Small Mistakes
Procrastination
Complete Failures
These things sometimes sidetrack me in the effort to pursue my dreams leaving me questioning what it all means

Introductions
Hellos
Goodbyes
Closure
These are things that I individually seek to find resolutions when I am in a state of confusion

Race
Gender
Body type
Intelligence
These are things that embody my existence but I am often still unsure of who I really am

Know thyself
Love thyself
Forgive thyself
Be thyself
These are lessons I have learned and understand as the foundations of my truly Examined Life

You understand stuff better than you understand. In some of my experience, the people who think they understand everything are more likely not to understand! The way you started out, thought you were doing Marvin Gaye's Inner City Blues: Rockets/ Have- ooops I have to start over: "Rockets/ Moon shots/ Spend it on/ The have-nots." That kind of pop-pop-pop. Very good!
