I've tried other pain medications, and medicines that are specifically designed to treat extremely bad migraine headaches. None of them have worked. My physician has prescribed other expensive medicines for me to take once I feel a migraine, but it leaves me drowsy and nauseated. Then I am unable to get back into my daily life's activities. With Excedrin Migraine, I can get back to the things I have to do-work, play, read, anything.
Excedrin boasts on their web site that after taking Excedrin Migraine, a migraine sufferer will:
~have an obvious reduction in pain within 30 minutes of time,
~can get back to partaking in normal activities of daily life,
~and, most importantly, the pain relief will last.
I can attest to these statements. For almost every migraine that I experience, I can take Excedrin Migraine, and it will go away. Every once in a while, the medicine just can't help, for instance, if the migraine is just too painful (that is when I would have to go to the emergency room for treatment), or if I simply didn't take the medicine soon enough. On average, though, 9 out of 10 of my migraine headaches are relieved by Excedrin Migraine.
How do you know if you are experiencing a migraine headache? I'm not talking about a really bad headache. I am speaking specifically of migraine headaches, which are very different from the pain of a normal headache. These are some symptoms you may experience when you are suffering from the pain of a migraine:
~Pain on one side of the head, that may throb or pulsate
~Pain that is intense and keeps you from completing daily activities
~Nausea or Vomiting
~Visual problems, including an aura in your vision
~Pain or sensitivity to light and sound
~Increased pain from exertion, for instance, walking around the house
~Pain may last for 24 to 72 hours, or longer
Migraine headaches usually affect people from the ages of 15 to 55, with different causes for each person. Migraine headaches are known to be hereditary. Sleep problems, missing a meal, certain medications, and fluorescent lights can all trigger a migraine headache if you are prone to them. Stress and depression are two major factors that will trigger a migraine, but luckily these problems are treatable. If you can prevent these causes, then you can prevent migraines as well.
Migraines pop up when they are least expected and most likely when it is least convenient. If you're at home with the kids, and no one is there to help you, a migraine headache will creep up on you, and you could be lost. But, if you take Excedrin Migraine, you can stop the Migraine before it starts, and get back to playing with the kids.
