When exchanging Dollars for Pesos in Mexico you usually get ten Pesos per Dollar during normal economic times, but when the market is booming the Dollar is usually paid at fifteen pesos. The price of the Dollar goes up and down, and it really is confusing compared to the United States. In the United States when there is some kind of money inflation or hard economic times things go up in price, but in Mexico when times are hard the prices really go up for items and especially gasoline. And, when in Mexico the normal pay rate is about one-thousand Pesos per week it's really hard to get by on that salary.
The best times to get more Pesos for your Dollars in Mexico is during certain times of the year, and it all depends on the amount of Dollars being bought at the current date. When tourism is low all over Mexico the Dollars is paid around fifteen Pesos per dollar, and those months include between February and May. Other months that the Dollar is paid well is the months between August and November. And, other times especially when the economy is really bad not a lot of people in the United States is not sending a lot of money back to Mexico like they usually do, or not enough tourism is being done, as a result the Dollar is better paid at about fifteen Pesos per Dollar.
