Do You Want to See a Camel Race, Live Crocodiles or Feed a Kangaroo?
Never fear, if you don't have these abilities. You can easily rent a glass bottom boat, with a tour guide and see all the Humpback Dolphins, salt water crocodiles, turtles and Minke whales. The Great Barrier Reef is sure to please everyone in the family, because it is 1,400 miles in length, with 1,500 species of fish, 400 types of coral and it is made up of 1000 islands. You really don't want to miss this experience of a life time for your family.
You might just take up residence on Kangaroo Island, once you get to see all the spectacular wildlife! This wildlife sanctuary in South Australia is home to sea lions, koala bears, kangaroos, dolphins and even wallabies. There are so many excursions trips, it's hard to decide which one to take. Here is a small sampling of what you can see and do on Kangaroo Island.
The Hanson Bay Wildlife Sanctuary has Guided Nocturnal tours of the koala bear populations. You can take a small group tour at the Kangaroo Island Nocturnals, where you can view the Little Penguin Colony and see the bats, possums, kangaroos and wallabies out in the bush. The Pardana Wildlife Park is just great for children, because it is a privately owned park that allows the children and adults to hand feed koala bears, wallabies and kangaroos.
By this time you may want to spend a beautiful day relaxing on the beach after all your nature tours. The perfect place to sit back and relax is at the famous Bondi Beach, which is right close to Sydney in NewSouth Wales, on the East coast. There are sunny sandy beaches, cafes and many tasty restaurants.
You want to visit Alice Springs in the Northern Territory of Australia, to enjoy a huge selection of Aboriginal art that the town in so famous for. Alice Springs is also home to the lively Camel Cup, which is a great camel race that many people have never had a chance to experience. Another landmark in the Northern Territory, that draws many tourists every year is the Ayer's Rock (Uluru), which is the Aborigine name for this highly unusual rock manifestation, which appears to change colors as daylight changes to early evening.
As you can see, these are just a small sampling of some of the exciting and beautiful destinations that await you in Australia. From North to South or East to West, it is really hard to say that any one destination is more fascinating then the next.
