The following is Lisa Simon's interpretation of "The Most Horrific EVP." A couple notes about the formatting and content: Because of its length, it is written out in normal text format, instead of a "list" style format. The numbers in bold are the minutes and seconds which correspond to the audio file. The transcript is meant to be read along with the tape. The 'm' and 'f' in parenthesis indicate Lisa's estimation of a male or female speaker, and some are indicated further with question marks or other information when ambiguity or anything else is at play. The text between arrows indicated Lisa's impression of action taking place.
A very important note of warning: The translation contains profanity, including moderate use of the "f-word." There is also adult subject matter within, including references to sex, violence, and abortion. It's horrific after all, remember? Please be warned that both the translation and the recording itself may be too intense for some people.
The audio file can be found here.

Where is the translation? All I am seeing is a write-up and some comments.
This was intriguing. Though like you Richelle, I'm skeptical about EVP in general - although it's fascinating. Often when I've heard them, they just sounded like luckily caught ambient background noise or even real live speakers muffled & caught on tape from far away - etc. This was intense, however how much "outside" analysis was this given? The Ghost Hunting group may have great equipment - but there's always better. Financial costs or interest preclude more objective examination, but therein lies my problem with EVP. It smacks of a subjective process whose conclusions are so connected with the "listener." Like this woman who made the translation. Ultimately however, I think EVP deserves further scrutiny as a whole & does seem to offer more "evidence" than photos or videos of paranormal events.
Try using real player--I know there were problems w/ downloading it before. Or try it on youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QOgV8fm9xRc
I'm skeptical too, and really feel I approach this and everything to do with the paranormal as an abserver, rather than a believer or skeptic. But--this really struck me. Thanks for your comments.
I don't believe in any of this, but I'll admit that reading that transcript gave me the chills, literally. I couldn't listen to the audio for some reason; tried it using Windows Media. Great stuff.
I should have also included a specific warning it contains the n-word also. My profoundest of apologies for any offenses because of my warning ommision; I want to stress that I consider the word and its history to be invariably and unquestionably tied to the 'violence' that I did state in the warning. I do want to note that I felt its usage here was not gratuitous and may have some pertinent historical context--there are places nearby that are tied to the underground railroad, and the area was also a hotbed of the early abolitionist movement arguments, which even included some of its most famous speeches, such as the one from former slave Frederick Douglass in Seneca Falls. My feeling is that the way in which it is used here either has to do with a sense tragic victimization or that the statement as a whole is said rather defiantly, reactionary somehow, or with irony, and with positive defiant power.
