Exclusive: Interview with the Owner of WorldofBritney.com

With all of the recent events surrounding Britney Spears, it is clear that her fans still support her regardless of her actions. Who can blame them though? After all, she is a human and is entitled to make mistakes. A person can only grow stronger by learning from their mistakes.

When the Kentwood, Louisiana native released her debut album "... Baby One More Time" in 1999, fans showed their support by launching websites dedicated to the pop princess. But one stuck out from the crowd - WorldofBritney.com.

With thousands of visitors daily flocking to the site, WorldofBritney.com has gained media recognition from MTV, CNN, and more. Most recently, a personal message from Britney appeared on her official website. The message mentioned WorldofBritney.com.

I recently had the privilege of speaking with Jessica via email, the owner of WorldofBritney.com and was allowed the opportunity to interview her.

M.Phillips: Thank you for allowing me the opportunity to interview you. To begin, please introduce yourself.

Jessica: My name is Jessica. I am a big fan of Britney's and I have been for a while. I am a unique person, so being a fan of Britney's isn't too hard considering she is always changing her ways and also, she always finds a way to shock people. I am kind of like Britney in some ways. One being I could not care less what others think of me or the things I do. In school I was known for being the " gothed out pink haired girl " who would do or say anything.

M.Phillips: How old are you?

Jessica: I'm 20.

M.Phillips: How long have you been managing websites?

Jessica: Well I have been doing sites for about 4 years , but I am new to the Britney world.

M.Phillips: Do you own any other websites, and if so - what are the URLs?

Jessica: I have about 4 other Justin Timberlake sites , but they all go together - starting the main site WorldofJustin.com , the rest are just sub parts of the site.

M.Phillips: How did you become the owner of WorldofBritney.com?

Jessica: The original owner is a friend of mine , and I was asked to run it , because I am a fan of Britney's and he knows how I run sites and figured I would do a good job. I know what fans want and I try my best to give that.

M.Phillips: What plans do you have for the website?

Jessica: Right now I am not really sure on this one , but I want to make the site the best it can be. Britney is in a rough spot right now , and she can use all the support she gets.

M.Phillips: What is the best thing that has happened in your life in regards to worldofbritney.com?

Jessica: I have only been in charge of the site for a few weeks , so nothing yet , but hopefully something cool and exciting can happen!

M.Phillips: What is the worst thing?

Jessica: I don't believe in " worst " options. because you can always take a negative and turn it into a positive no matter what the situation. um if someone says something you don't approve of us , or seem to dislike , just kinda smile to yourself and be sarcastic when replying. Some people say some rude things , but you just have to think about it and realize that making 15 thousand other people a day happy , is a lot better than pissing one person off.

M.Phillips: How do you handle the stress of running the largest Britney Spears fan site?

Jessica: It's actually weird. ever since I started this site my email box has definitely not been empty. ha ha. There are so many other Britney sites out there so it's hard trying to maintain your ground and be the best , because if you do not post something as soon as it comes out , the next site will and then fans forget about your site.

M.Phillips: How many visitors does your site reach daily?

Jessica: Anything between 15,000 and 35,000 a day. It's pretty sweet.

M.Phillips: What is your thoughts on the recent events surrounding Britney Spears?

Jessica: My thoughts on this are pretty open and honest. I love Britney and anything she does I find a reason for. I do not defend her in what she may do in the wrong sense , but however I do respect every choice she makes , knowing she probably had a reason behind it. No one in this life is innocent. No one in this life is perfect. People tend to forget that Britney is a normal girl. she's 25 , she's going to party , she's going to drink and whatever else she may be doing at this time. Almost every girl between the ages of 16 and 30 are doing the same. But since she is Britney , people overlook that. As far as the shaving of her head , we will never truly know why she did it , but it's her life , and it's just hair! I will stand as a fan until the day it all ends. And Britney is strong and she will come out on top of this. It's like her song Overprotected

" What am I to do with my life
(You will find out don't worry)
How Am I supposed to know what's right?
(You just got to do it your way)
I can't help the way I feel
But my life has been so overprotected "

Those words are amazing. If you think about it , her life is too overprotected. the girl can not make a move with a lens in her face or someone telling her it's not a good idea. But me as well as other fans , will always support no matter what the price! We love Britney and wish her the best!

M.Phillips: As we all know, Britney Spears is aware of the site since she mentioned it via a personal message to fans on her site. How does it feel to know that your writing is being viewed by her?

Jessica: Well considering I took the site over around the time she shaved her head and all hell went down , I don't think she has read my words. But I hope one day she does and it would be very flattering knowing that the person who I am very inspired by has read something I work on.

M.Phillips: Do you feel that postpartum depression may be the cause of her recent activities?

Jessica: No. not at all. There are a million different things running through her mind and going on in her life. Lots of bad and some good. Everything she does is thrown out for the world to view and everyone she knows f*cks her over at some point , so trust and values are the cause. And I also blame the media. As much as I hate to say this, if us fans weren't so demanding , she wouldn't always feel so pressured. Britney needs Britney time and since she hasn't been able to achieve that , then I blame every aspect of her life .

M.Phillips: What advice could you give someone wishing to build a website?

Jessica: Go for it - but make sure that whoever you are making a site of that you are completely devoted to them.

M.Phillips: If you had the chance to sit down with Britney, what would you tell/ask her?

Jessica: Oh wow , I don't even know. I would probably just ask her , what is the one thing in her life that if she had the chance to change what would it be and why.
