Exclusive Legend of Zelda Action Figures Become Hot Commodity in Online Market

Zelda Figures Based on the Ocarina of Time Game

When I was a young lad, I was fortunate enough to own some of the rarest action figures based off of the Legend of Zelda and Super Mario Bros games. The reason why these little guys were so rare was because they were sold in limited quantities at stores during the late 1990s. Some of them could only be obtained if you were a member of the Nintendo fan club. The one set of action figures children must have are the Zelda Ocarina of Time three-pack that included the three main characters from that game (Link, Zelda, and Ganon). These unique and rather expensive Zelda action figures were released by BD&A. The company was well known for releasing other Nintendo related merchandise such as Super Mario beanie babies. The Zelda figures are considered a hot commodity among Nintendo collectors of all ages. Unfortunately, they range from sixty to one hundred and fifty dollars at auction sites such as www.eBay.com. They originally retailed for about ten dollars per pack when they were first released in 1999.

Another set of rare Nintendo action figures I owned nearly a decade ago were the now popular Super Mario Kart 64 figures that were released by Toy Biz. These figures featured some of the most popular characters from the game and are considered to be the most accurate representations from their pixilated counterparts. They came with a motorized go kart that was able to shoot toy missiles. The kart was approximately five inches long and had some really nice rubber tires that were removable. The characters from Toy Biz line were indeed of high quality because of their movable legs, heads, and arms. Due to their scarce availability, these toys can fetch up to one hundred thirty dollars individually on eBay. The most popular characters among collectors are of course Mario and Luigi, but they are normally found used in auctions. I honestly would not recommend on buying them due to their steep prices, but if you are willing to cough up a ton of money, then do it because they will only increase in value as the years go by. I only wish I still had all of them so I can sell them on eBay.
