Kotobukiya has finally released the long anticipated Mega Man model kits that have been talked about so much by Mega Man community. Kotobukiya is a toy manufacturer that specializes in video game, comic, and movie figures. The company was originally a toy store that sold only dolls way back in the late 1940s. To learn more about this awesome toy company, visit www.kotous.com and make sure to check out their other splendid items. The Mega Man figure is a 1:10 model which makes it approximately five inches in height. Many fans have been hungrily waiting for the figure's release because they believe it to be the best Mega Man figure ever created. At only five inches, the figure itself is not that large, but the detail is immense since it looks exactly like original Mega Man from the 1980s.

Unlike many Mega man model kits that were released in the last decade, this Mega Man model kit in particular has the extra accessories fans have been dying to get. For example, his iconic energy cans finally make their plastic debut. Unfortunately, the model kit comes with only one energy container (should have been three cans instead). On the plus side, the kit does come with an assortment of hands, fists, and his iconic laser canon. Also, it comes with three different facial expression masks for Mega Man to wear. My favorite mask would have to be Mega's angry face because it brings out the intensity of the figure. The figure is due to hit shelves around early September 2010.

The price range on this figure is a little steep at 25-30 dollars, but it is actually worth it because of its uniqueness. When I first saw the price, I had to admit I wasn't so excited because the model was only five inches. The price range on this figure is somewhat the same as many other Mega Man model kits made by Bandai these days. Those kits are basically non-existent in stores and can cost a pretty penny. You can find the Kotobukiya Mega Man model kit at www.eBay.com and www.play-asia.com. I would rather wait and find the model kit for a much cheaper price because there will eventually be online shops willing to sell them at a low prices. It is best not to purchase them from international stores since they charge too much on shipping.
