Excuses for Not Giving a Christmas Gift

As the holidays rolled around, more and more people are realizing that gift giving is not feasible for them at all this year. The harsh economic climate and government failure have left many in a state of profound disbelief and financial panic. Many are hard pressed for cash. Many have seen their jobs lost. Yes! Many have even seen their pensions swallowed by the tides of greed and unscrupulous business practices. In fact, it has been reported that many have lost their entire life savings in a brief moment. There is a great sense of uncertainty permeating the homes of many Americans. And to add insult to injury, 2009 is looking immensely bleak. Is there any hope? Will the financial cloud of uncertainty evaporate soon? Yes! The affordability this year to splurge is just not there.People have become Scrooge like in order to get through this holiday season. And as a result of the financial dilemma, excuses are becoming a way of dialog for many. This financial crisis is becoming unbearable for many. Subsequently, they are using emotion pillows to cushion their excuses. In so doing, the apparent sign of gift giving is posted off limit on their countenances and foreheads The excuses that many Americans will be using this year are based on the fact that gift giving is not affordable for them.

This excuse is a common phrase used by people frequently *things are meager and money is slim* , people are talking about their financial dilemma more and more and about their situations. Another excuse is * I lost my job* ,due the laying off of employees and closing of companies thousand of people of lost their jobs with no clear vision in sight.

"I have been robbed" is a phrase that's becoming more popular, not only is it an excuse but ,people's desperation have led them to do unscrupulous behavior in times of need. Americans are actually being robbed of gifts bought for love ones and of cash. After being robbed all you want to do is forget about the holidays.

"I forgot about Christmas", with so much on people minds this is a given fact, many times they are caught up with the cares of the world that, the holidays are not priority. Usually this is more common for single individuals to pull this on off. Having children and pets makes that excuse tainted. Having pets you could use this next excuse quite easily. 'The dog ate your gift", whenever this excuse is given like most times it's not credible, however, having a dog in the home can make this very real. Pets tend to have a fascination with parcels under the Christmas tree, precaution must be taken in order to keep them from shredding the articles. Then, with no gift the next excuse comes into play."I'll buy your gift after the holiday', lot of time people tend to pick gifts up after the holiday in order to save on the purchase. But, there are those few that uses this excuse to get out of buying gifts hoping the expected recipients will forget. Finally,

"I stopped celebrating Christmas" for different reasons people will stopping celebrating a certain Holiday based on religion, social or economical issues but, for whatever reason it turns out to be, it has to be important enough to change tradition.
