Exemplary Italian-Spanish Fusion Cuisine on Florida's Nature Coast
Restaurant Review of Brian's Place in Hernando Beach, Florida
Nestled among pines and palms, Brian's Place is an unassuming bungalow among marinas, honky-tonk bars, and typical beach shops lining a two-lane beach road along the Florida gulf shore. The outward character of Brian's Place is warm-sand, easy-nights, front-porch, beach chic.
Inside, the décor of Brian's Place is simple and tasteful. The ambiance is comfortable and personal - like you're retreating into a good friend's home for dinner, relaxation, and casual conversation.
The delight of Brian's Place is the sumptuous and delectable Italian-Spanish Fusion Cuisine served by a knowledgeable, cordial, and attentive staff and presented with style and flair.
Brian's Place, indeed, exemplifies and excels in serving Italian-Spanish Fusion Cuisine. Brian's Place serves up genuine personal Globalization You Can Taste ©.
Chef par excellence Brian Alvarez, the Master Chef of Brian's Place, displays remarkable culinary skills and talents to create extraordinary cuisine art. Trained in Classical French Cuisine, Brian has more than five year's experience creating and presenting masterpieces of Spanish and Italian Fusion Cuisine.
I first visited Brian's Place for dinner in the spring of 2008. My Spanish-Italian Fusion Cuisine experience with Brian's Place was totally satisfying and rewarding.
I began with a glass of Brian's Sangria 1. Although I am not a Sangria connoisseur, Brian's Sangria was exceptional in flavor and balance. Brian's Sangria was delightful and lightly prepared the palate for the appetizer. (The specific composition and proportions of Brian's Sangria are a closely-held secret.) Classical Spanish Sangria.]
My appetizer was a Chipotle Pineapple Tuna Ceviche, with chips. In general terms, a ceviche is a citrus-marinated seafood salad. Brian's ceviche excelled and was truly magnificent. (See the accompanying real-time photo to appreciate the arrangement and array, perfectly presented.)
Next, I enjoyed a House Salad with Blue Cheese dressing. All the elements of the house salad were crisp andperfectly chilled. The dressing was smooth, creamy, and not overpowering. (See the accompanying real-time photo to appreciate the arrangement and array, perfectly presented.)
My entrée was Veal Milanese with creamy Gorgonzola Polenta. The veal was tender, moist, and perfectly cooked. The polenta was light and delicate. The composition, flavors, and textures complimented one another to produce a succulent, thoroughly enjoyable, moment of culinary excellence. (See the accompanying real-time photo to appreciate the arrangement and array, perfectly presented.) Food Network recipes for Veal Milanese and Gorgonzola Polenta.]

Post a Comment1st: the table we sat at did not sit flat, rocked back and forth, I hate that, fix it.
2nd: No table cloth, had white paper, the kind you sit on in a doctors office and he peels away after you're done. It was not even big enough to cover the table so they had to double it up, the problem is the bottom of my glass went up underneath and almost got pulled out of my had and spilled all over. Real classy.
3rd: Felt like I was dining in a converted burger joint, tacky.
4th: The meal, if you like salty, this is the place for you.
My guests meal was so salty she didn't even finish it, my meal, Snapper, so small I could have put it in my belly button and salty, I think the chef, or I should say fast order cook, has a thing for salt.
All in all I WILL NOT BE BACK!
Save your money and go to McDonalds.
I have traveled a good portion of this country, and no restaurant comes close to Brian's Place. You should check out their menu on their website:
