Like it or not if you live long enough and unless you have some sort of medical anomaly all women go through menopause and usually we go kicking and screaming. Many of us have been told to look to your family history to determine at what age in your life you will most likely begin the process of menopause. Is it as dreaded as most women describe? Yes. Are there successful ways to go through menopause gracefully without losing your mind or possibly flipping out on someone else? Yes.

At first onset menopause tends to just slightly create tiny uproar in your life with the slight temperature changes, also known as personal summers, as well as the night sweats, which leave you feeling like you worked all night. After speaking with several close friends and relatives, the number of women choosing to treat the symptoms associated with menopause, as opposed to the number of women taking hormone replacement therapy was amazing. Of the women spoken to more chose to not take hormone replacement therapy and deal with the symptoms as opposed to the contraindications associated with hormone replacement therapy.

If opting out of traditional choices and looking for alternative methods of treating menopause symptoms, there are several ways to become more comfortable allowing you to go through menopause gracefully including exercising your way through menopause.

First and foremost it is important to recognize the changes in the body and the necessary supplements needed to remain strong and healthy as the body goes through the changes. Exercise and strength building exercises are a must. Not only will you sleep better but you will also look better, feel better and have a tighter and stronger physique while insuring your body is healthy.

Add stretching to your daily morning routine to keep your body flexible. Begin a yoga practice and hope allowing you the privacy of progressing in your stretching routine. Most importantly add weight bearing exercises to your regimen to fight bone loss. And definitely add a calcium supplement which also helps to avoid bone loss. Because the metabolism slows as we get older the exercise routine will help reduce weight gain that comes with menopause.
