Exercising Your Imagination: Part 3

Imagination Exercise

Kurt Evans
You imagine yourself walking into a white room that has the sound of a waterfall running through it, it calms your senses. As you enter the room, imagine that there's a white fog waist high that disables you from seeing the ground. Although, you have no idea what is on the ground, you're compelled to walk forward; trusting the forces that-be that you will not come to any harm.

You walk to a blue table that is in the center of the room and sit down on a brown chair. You can feel yourself sink into the soft chair as your feet just barely touch the ground. You feel yourself start to doze off to la-la land when; all of a sudden, the very chair that you are sitting in starts to change form and becomes a hard rock that hurts your bottom.

You race to your feet and are stunned and somewhat frightened at what just happened. You are in this strange room surrounded by a white foggy mist. You look behind you and the rock seems to have disappeared. The mist makes things in the distance seem a bit blurry and out of focus. You turn your head and look to the left with a wide-eyed stare. Your eyes start to water and tears start to roll down your face as you start to panic in unknown territory. You can feel the teardrops run down your face as you are totally lost and in complete despair. The taste of the salty tears hits your lips; at which time you lick them away.

You can see a figure in the distance and you can hear footsteps that aren't your own. You shout out in the distance and say," you there, can you hear me?" Then, out of the fog; you can start to see the outline of a human being moving towards you. You start to shiver and shake out of the fear that wells up inside you.

Then, out of the white misty fog, appears an elderly man holding a cane. He looks at you and nudges his head upward to acknowledge your presence; then he nonchalantly walks pasts you without saying a word. The white foggy mist seems to follow him wherever he goes.

As you are stunned and mystified, you feel compelled to explore the area from which the old man came. At the same time, you feel a bit perturbed and disturbed that the old man did not have the decency to at least say hello.

You continue walking down the path and the sound of the waterfall grows stronger and stronger. Suddenly, as you take a final step; you feel the sheer force of the waterfall raining down upon you. The force of the water, throws you to the ground.
