Today, is Nov. 11, 2010 and as a descendant, sister, wife of Veteran's I was thrilled to see that the Exhibit Museum Building on Hays St. in my hometown of Brookville, Ohio was open 4p-7p today. They have so many great displays about the history of businesses, organizations, and especially about Veteran's from a multitude of wars. I was so proud they were open today when so many places are closed.

As we drove around Brookville, Ohio today it was one of the highlights in our beloved town. The sun was glowing, folks were racking leaves, flags blowing in the wind, and Golden Gate Park was a wonderful place to stop and reflect on our own family and friends who honorable served this country. Sometimes, I take freedom for granted but today is a reminder that nothing is promised not even freedom.

We visited family and friends graves and paid our respects to honor them the best we could. But when we saw the Exhibit Museum open we were reminded that we need to do something for the Vet's who were wounded, their families, and those who continue to serve throughout the world. Last year we adopted a soldier and sent a care package. This year we plan to help those who are wounded and their families during the holidays in thanks for saving lives bravely and honorably.
