Expect God to Answer

When Will God Answer?

Reflection: When we pray to the Lord do we believe that he hears and answers our prayers? Ruth made a promise to her mother in-law (Ruth 1:16-17). Perhaps the very words that she spoke to her mother in-law could also be the very words that we should say to Jesus. Nehemiah cried out to the Lord & asked that the Lord remember him as his servant & the cup bearer for the king. When life throws us a curve ball or circumstances become more than we can bear, we can lift up our voices in prayer & expect God to answer.

Ruth 1:16-17 And Ruth said, Urge me not to leave you or to turn back from following you; for where you go I will go, and where you lodge I will lodge. [b]Your people shall be my people and your God my God. 17Where you die I will die, and there will I be buried. The Lord do so to me, and more also, if anything but death parts me from you.

Neh 1:11 O Lord, let Your ear be attentive to the prayer of Your servant and the prayer of Your servants who delight to revere and fear Your name (Your nature and attributes); and prosper, I pray You, Your servant this day and grant him mercy in the sight of this man. For I was cupbearer to the king.
