Expensive Tech: The $7,000,000 iPad 2 is the Most Expensive iPad Ever

The $7 Million iPad 2 is Real

Elite gadget creator and well known jeweler, Stuart Hughes, is famous for creating the most overly-priced gadgets in existence, but he just might have outdone himself with his latest invention; the $7,000,000 [that's 7 Million dollars] iPad 2.

I had to think twice before forking over $1,700 for two iPad 2s and accessories [for my wife and I], and although spending that type of money made me feel like a "baller shot caller", I immediately felt like a pauper after hearing the news of Stuart Hughes $7,000,000 iPad 2 - the iPad 2 Gold History Edition.

Stuarthughes.com reports that the iPad 2 Gold History Edition is "encrusted with Encrusted with 12.5 cts of 'I'F' Flawless diamonds, a magnificent total of 53 individually set sparkling gems dwell beautifully in solid 24ct Apple logo with rear section formed again in 24ct gold weighing an immense 2,000 grams" and goes on to spell out other luxurious details including an Ammolite frame [Ammolite is the oldest rock in the world at over 75 million years old], 65 million year old T-Rex dinosaur's thigh bones, an 8.5ct flawless diamond and several other doodads that only an insane person would encase in an iPad.

The iPad 2 Gold History Edition is offered at the asking price of £5,000,000.00 (roughly $7,010,000 US dollars) and only two will be made. Frankly, I'm surprised that one of these things were made considering that in the next 11 months, the iPad 2 will be old news, you'll need to spend another $7 Million in security, the added luxury adds nothing to the iPad 2's performance, and that this thing will weigh several times more than the average iPad.

I'm pretty sure that someone will be the T-Rex bone dusted, jewelry laden, 75 million year old rock version of the iPad 2 for what they could easily pay for a small country, but if you're rich enough to afford [and actually desire having] one of the two iPad 2 Gold History Edition tablets, you'd be better off paying someone to go in and tweak the iPad 2 with more RAM, better cameras, add Flash support and really make your iPad 2 the best.
