Experience the Best Western Outlaw Inn, Rock Springs, Wyoming
The Outlaw Inn Offers Many Amenities for the Weary Traveler!
This time my trip through Wyoming brought me to Exit 104, home of the Best Western Outlaw Inn. (Actual address is 1630 Elk Street for those with GPS).
The outside of the hotel is deceiving! The Outlaw Inn looks like any other older hotel with nothing special to attract a traveler. However, when you step inside you will find the lobby area welcoming and up-to-date. There is an indoor pool just off the main entrance making this a great place for a family visit any time of the year.
Let us not forget to mention there is a restaurant that serves everything from casual burgers to incredible baked halibut, linguini with a homemade meat sauce, and prime rib. The grilled carrot cake ala-mode is a specialty of the house, and OMG is it scrumptious!
The Outlaw Inn is located just outside of downtown Rock Springs with easy on and off from the interstate, making it a good place to stop for the night. This hotel is located near the Flying J Auto-Truck Plaza, so fueling in the a.m. will be convenient. There are also numerous fast food joints and restaurants nearby.
One of the first things you notice when walking from the front lobby through the pool area, and then on to your room is the cleanliness and fresh, non-smoking atmosphere.
As with any travel, the staffs' knowledge of local attractions is appreciated when in a new area, and the folks at the Outlaw Inn can help you find all of the local offerings.
Breakfast is complimentary and delicious. Room service is available and everything is always freshly prepared. Although the restaurant at the Outlaw Inn is top-notch, there are plenty of local eateries if you choose to venture out on the town.
Each room is up to date with furnishing reflecting a western style and pricing starting at about $85.00 for a queen room. This Outlaw Inn also has double queens, and well as king rooms and king suites. Rates can vary depending on the season, so I recommend calling ahead, or checking with the Best Western web site, www.bestwestern.com, for room availability and pricing.
The hotel maintains a quiet atmosphere but does cater to families and business groups. Of course, the number one selling feature for this writer is the fact that this hotel is pet friendly! Pooch and I thoroughly enjoy the generous sized rooms, and the availability of room service! (She loves breakfast in bed.) There is plenty of outside area for walking and the staff is pet friendly too, making it a pleasure to spend time at this location.
Next time you find yourself crossing the Continental Divide in Wyoming, on Interstate 80, hop off at Exit #104 and spend a night at the Outlaw Inn, (Best Western). There is no doubt you will thoroughly enjoy your stay. Oh, do not forget your swimming suit; the pool is open all year and always the perfect temperature!
