Number one reason to stay at the FireSky Resort and Spa: Location, location, location.
I found the FireSky Resort and Spa perfectly situated in the heart of Old Town Scottsdale. Just steps outside your door, you will have easy access to shopping, dining, golf and other outdoor activities. I was pleased to find we were less than two blocks from Scottsdale Fashion Square, the desert's premiere shopping center. The quaint streets of Old Town Scottsdale with their art galleries, boutique shops, great restaurants are a short drive down Scottsdale Road. Here you'll experience the flavor of the old west with lots of public art and western ambiance.
Number two reason to stay at the FireSky Resort and Spa: Fire, water, earth and air elements.
FireSky Resort and Spa is based on the four elements: fire, water, earth and air. The elements play a prominent role throughout the resort. You'll see the three stone towers featuring fire and water in front of the property. According to the FireSky website, the towers and elements are "representing the juxtaposition of the beautiful Sonoran desert setting and the expansive tropical grounds." You'll also find the elements featured in the beautifully appointed guest rooms creating a relaxing and serene environment which is perfect for a weekend getaway.
Number three reason to stay at the FireSky Resort and Spa: Impeccable customer service.
Many hotels and resorts tout customer service as a top priority, but at FireSky Resort and Spa it's apparent in every interaction you have with the staff. It began when I telephoned to make my reservation. The woman I spoke with was very accommodating, trying and succeeding in finding me a competitive rate. She took it one step further and asked what else she could do to ensure I had a pleasant stay with them. We also encountered this same wonderful hospitality when we arrived early to check into our room. They were able to place us in a beautiful courtyard room three hours a head of our check in time. Another great perk was the complimentary wine reception provided to guests every evening in the hotel lobby.
Number four reason to stay at the FireSky Resort and Spa: The beautifully appointed guest rooms.
We were fortunate to be placed in a wonderful courtyard guest room. Our room was well appointed, beautifully decorated and quite roomy. Amenities included: complimentary high speed internet access (for Kimpton InTouch Guest Members); large flat screen television; designer toiletries; plush leopard robes; comfy bed and down feather pillows; and a stylish vanity in the bathroom. The hotel also offered "Forgot It? We've Got It!" for those toiletries or necessary items we may have forgotten at home.
Number five reason to stay at the FireSky Resort and Spa: The resort is pet friendly.
Though we didn't bring our dog on this weekend getaway, if we had, he would have been treated like royalty. FireSky Resort and Spa is a pet friendly property. Every guest with pup in tow receives an arrival treat; Bosco's Brew, a pet-friendly beer; dog bed and water bowl for the duration of your stay; a chew toy; and a logo leash. The hotel also offers pet walking services, exercise area and a list of local veterinarians. Most importantly, your canine companion stays for free. We did have the pleasure of meeting Bosco, the Director of Pet Relations. Bosco is a dark brown Cocker Spaniel who was sound asleep behind the reservation desk when we arrived. He did open one eye to welcome us as we checked in.
So if you're looking for a great place to stay while in Scottsdale, FireSky Resort and Spa is an ideal choice.
