Ever fancied a visit to an exotic European country, with a different culture, and everything having a different vibe to it? Maybe a visit to Turkey can satisfy this particular craving.

Sun and sand are common in Turkey, and their best beaches are likewise home to the best hotels. Take a peek on the internet, and there are sure to be tours of Turkey, that almost always include their beaches.

To give you an idea of what is in store, here are some of the famous beaches of Turkey:

A visit to theAlacati Bay, is a windsurfer's dream, the winds come fast and often to the Bay, although the beachfront is not as wide as it could be.

On the other hand, if you enjoy white beaches then maybe Pirlanta Beach is for you. The beach is about two hundred meters wide and almost a kilometer in length and faces the Aegean Sea. The water here is crystal clear, and there are no waves.

If rare and exotic turtles interest you then maybe you should visit Iztuzu Beach, which is a national preserve and breeding ground for what Turks call "Caretta Caretta" or the loggerhead turtle. The beach is also nice and serene at night, with the lights from fishing boats moving quietly out to the sea. Just keep out of prohibited areas, there will be signs.

Turkish baths are also a highlight that should not be missed. "Haman" as it is know in Turkish is for the Turks more than a place to cleanse, but is linked with daily living, where whatever your station or status in life, all of you congregate in the same bath. Most of the towns in Turkey have their own baths, and such and experience cannot be missed, since their bathing practices date back to the ancient times. You will be bathing in history.

Want to take a visit to the market? Then visit Istanbul's Grand Bazaar, one of the world's largest covered markets. Imagine 1,200 shops, to choose from! It's a shop-a-holic's dream come true! Here you can shop for jewelry, pottery, and exotic spices. The stalls in the market are grouped accordingly depending on the goods that they sell.

Thereafter you can a sip of some of the country's exotic tea, or take a puff from a "nargile" (Turkish tobacco water pipe) and relax in one of the local restaurants.

If you would like to experience Turkey and see all it in all its' splendor and natural beauty then I suggest that you take a trek down "The Lycian Way." There are books available showing the details of the paths, but make sure you are updated with the current information before you take the trek.

All in all, Turkey is a beautiful country to visit, and is not as costly as some of the other European Cities. If you would like an exotic European tour within your budget, then give Turkey a try.
