In the sound lab you can visit the jam studio, a state-of-the-art studio where you can make a recording using drums, guitars, keyboards and vocals. If you like how your CD turns out, it will be available for purchase.
You can visit "On Stage" a large arena that is set up like a real stage. It comes complete with hot lights, screaming fans and even smoke. Experience what it feels like to be a rock star, while you perform in front of a virtual audience. They even program the instruments so that a novice can play them, although if you are an experienced musician you can choose not to have the instruments programmed. To further enhance your on stage experience, visitors outside of "On Stage" can watch as you perform live over a closed circuit TV Experience Music Project, will also take your picture and make it into a poster that you can purchase.
Experience what it's like to be a DJ in the "DJ Hallway." Learn how a talented DJ with the help of two turntables can produce music. Learn how they scratch out sounds and move easily from one record to the next.
These are just a few of the interactive exhibits available at Experience Music Project. There are many more, like: The jam drum, trios, soundproof rooms and more.
In addition to the Experience Music Project you can also visit the Science Fiction Museum and Hall of Fame. It was created to show appreciation for science fiction literature and media.
The Hall of Fame honors the lives and works of science fiction's greatest creators. Annual inductions into the hall of fame will be offered to individuals who have, in a significant way contributed to Science Fiction. The Science Fiction Museum currently has 43 artifacts on exhibition, they include costumes from popular science fiction movies like: Star Wars, Blade Runner, The Terminator, Star Trek and more.
Admission into The Experience Music Project, including The Science Fiction Museum is: adults $15.00 - seniors (65+) $12.00 - youth (ages 5-17) $12.00 - children under 4 are free.
