C.A. Jacobs
After 120 years of tradition, the OC Fair is still going strong and inviting families to enjoy several exhibits and an array of entertainment. The Orange County Market Place is home to the OC Fair Wednesday through Sunday from July16-August 15, 2010. "The Beat Goes On" is the theme for this year's event and is sure to thrill young and old.

Exhibits at the OC Fair
The exhibits at the OC Fair are unique and exciting to see. Some of the many exhibits located throughout the fairgrounds include fine arts, photography, Kofu Kai bonsai, floral, jewelry, woodworking, and sculpture. These exhibits are filled with masterpieces that are submitted by young adults, adults, and professionals. The livestock are another aspect of exhibits that many find fascinating. There are pigs, chickens, cattle, goats, and an organic garden to explore. One of the more popular livestock attractions is the pig race. The pigs race around a small track, though some get distracted, it is oddly hilarious to watch.

Action Sports at the OC Fair
Action sports are also going to be put on every day at the OC Fair. Some of the sports to see will include x-treme freestyle moto-s, Orange County Police Canine, extreme rodeo, bull riding, Orange Crush Demolition Derby, and pro and amateur skateboarding. All of these events can be seen in the Action Sports Arena for an additional cost. Most events are either $12.50 or $15.

Summer Concert Series at the OC Fair
At the Pacific Amphitheatre, directly outside the OC Fair, several summer concerts are put on every night the fair is open. Concerts this summer include Train, Shania Twain, Faith Hill, Adam Lambert, Julianne Hough, B-52s, Styx, LeAnn Rimes, ZZ Top, and more. There is an additional cost to enter the Pacific Amphitheatre. Most concert prices start at $19.50 with a few starting at $39.50 or $49.50.

Good Eats at the OC Fair
Of course, the fair is also known for its wide variety of delicious cuisine. Over 80 vendors sell food including funnel cakes, hot dogs, baked potatoes, frozen lemonade, deep-fried twinkies, chocolate-covered bacon, corn on the cob, and so much more. Be adventurous and try many of these unique delicacies.

So grab the kids and head down to Costa Mesa this summer for a family fun adventure!
