Experts: Muslim Belief US Singles Out Muslims, Wages War on Islam to Blame for Radicalization of Jihad Jane, Jihad Jamie

Marc Schenker
According to experts, the belief among some Muslims that the US singles out Muslims and wages war on Islam specifically are to blame for the radicalization of homegrown, American terrorists like Jihad Jane and her newly exposed comrade, Jihad Jamie. Both women-Jihad Jane, aka Colleen LaRose from Pennsylvania and Jamie Paulin-Ramirez from Colorado-are only the latest cases of homegrown terrorists operating domestically, but they're part of a larger rash of a recent uptick in the number of Americans or legal, US residents who blend in to US society...only to secretly pursue anti-American, terrorist activities. So what exactly is their problem? How did these American women, to focus on just a couple, get this way, exactly? A belief that the US is singling out Muslims specifically and waging war specifically on Islam itself may have a lot to do with their radicalization.

The belief that the US singles out Muslims and wages war on Islam is nothing new; these filthy accusations have been around for a long time and have enjoyed a resurgence in popularity among both Islamists and homegrown, American idiots like Noam Chomsky, due to US intervention in places like Iraq and Afghanistan. Why, in the latest such significant example of the perpetuation of said filthy accusations, the over-paid and America-slurring actor, Tom Hanks, has recently raised a commotion with allegations that the US is a racist country in how it prosecutes the War on Terror (as in, the US is at war with Islamofascists because of their skin color).

A report from the Center for Strategic and International Studies entitled "Assessing 'Homegrown' Extremism in the United States" lays out potential reasons for the radicalization of Americans like Jihad Jane and her sister-friend Jihad Jamie. According to their experts, key among them is the stubborn, persistent belief that the US just has it in for Muslims and Islam specifically! Said Rick Nelson, co-author of the study, "It's a troubling trend...found all over the Web that says the US is at war with Islam." Certainly, while terrorists are the prime driver of this damaging perception, American, left-wing celebrities like the aforementioned Tom Hanks-along with other leftists of a high profile like Michael Moore and even Democrat politicians like the recently deceased John Murtha-also contribute by uttering their provocative accusations against the US, which terrorists use and which susceptible people like the Jihad twins buy into.

The experts say that while US foreign policy shouldn't be held hostage to such concerns over Islamic propaganda, it should definitely be weighed as a factor by policy makers in future decisions. When you look at the backgrounds of the Jihad twins-Jane and Jamie-you certainly get the unmistakable feeling that both women were radicalized by the same filthy accusations against the US specifically targeting Muslims and Islam.

In example, take Jihad Jane, aka Colleen LaRose who was arrested last October but whose indictment was released just this week, which explained all the news coverage. LaRose actually had a profile on Dailymotion.com, a video-sharing website, on which she posted attacks by terrorists against US troops in Iraq. Next, on YouTube, she left suspicious comments about how she was desperate to help the "suffering" of Muslims. Clearly, the overarching theme in her beliefs was that the Muslims were being oppressed, targeted and persecuted in some way, with the US as the big, bad bully behind it.

Or how about we take her sister-friend, Jihad Jamie, aka Jamie Paulin-Ramirez. She was held in connection with a plot to murder a cartoonist who drew an apparently "offensive" picture of the prophet Mohammed. She had apparently been slowly radicalized by mysterious "online" friends from Islamic chat rooms who would ask about taking flying lessons in the US and had, apparently, mailed her Islamist propaganda such as a video about the plight of Muslim women. Clearly, in her situation also, she was made to think that Islam had somehow been unfairly targeted...and she somehow had to mobilize into a Jihad against the West.

While the liberal appeasers are already out in full-force decrying profiling as a reliable tool against terrorism-in light of the fact that both the women arrested in jihadist plots were blonde and Caucasian and so differed from the stereotypical Arab-I see things differently. In my mind, the common link here that shows profiling works is the fact that both women...hold on here...displayed...yes, it's coming...Islamist behavior and were Muslim. They wore that oh-so fashionable accessory of Muslim women everywhere-a hijab-wanted to kill people who had "offended" the prophet Mohammed, and expressed sympathy with the "suffering" of Muslims the world over. If you profile according to these behavioral characteristics of Islamists, you'd get the terrorists every time, be they Caucasian or Arab.

The first Islamic terrorists from America in this current war were the kid from Marin and the guy called Azzam the American. These people are the latest and greatest, but the first two really sought out Islam, and were bummed out to find that many Muslims were moderate. They felt the decay of society was due to liberal social values, and sought to fight for order and religion.

It does seem like most are radicals and that's some scary stuff

Yes to Judy! It is the religious duty and purpose of every Muslim to kill or enslave every non-muslim (infidel) using any kind of tactic, deceit and lie. Read the truth about islam, people! Start with some of Robert Spencer's books and go from there. At the very least, don't rely only on muslims and their leftist sympathizers for all of your information.
