One common cat behavior that every cat does is taking their head and pushing something. Owners of cats will notice this cat behavior even more when there are visitors who also own animals or who are allergic to animals. When your pet cat notices the visitor, they will rub their head against that visitor. By doing this, they will put a bit of salvia on that person. Inside your cat's mind, they are the owner of anything that they put their saliva on. What this cat behavior does in effect is it allows your pet cat to put their scent on something unfamiliar so that it then becomes familiar. Of course, this cat behavior might at times be annoying to some people; please understand that having visitors in your home will seem very awkward to your pet cat. So with this cat behavior, all your pet cat is really trying to do is make your visitor a part of the family.
Although marking a visitor with cat saliva serves to satisfy your furry friend, the saliva from this cat behavior is a very common type of allergy. So if a person in your home has pet allergies and wipes the saliva off, the cat will come back and try to do it again. And although, it may seem like the pet cat targets people who have allergies, they are really just try to make the visitor a familiar and welcome object. If your visitor simply cannot stand the saliva, then allow the pet cat to rub themselves on the pants of the visitor just a few times. And usually, that is all that is necessary for your pet cat to leave the person alone.
Anyone who has an indoor pet cat knows that one cat behavior is to spend a whole lot of time relaxing by a window. You might hear your feline friend make some weird noises and strange movement gestures. But don't worry about this cat behavior because all they're doing is acting out their innate hunting instincts. So if another pet, animal, or maybe just a bug is outside and is moving, the pet cat will notice it and then snap into their inborn instinct to hunt.
One other unique cat behavior is that they simply love playing and they love to play with toys. Pet cats will pounce on something and this is to be expected. Something fun that you can do with your cat is use a string for play, because cats love to chase strings around the room.
While it is true that cats can behave in weird ways, you can rest assure that there is always a good reason behind why they are behaving that way. And when you are able to comprehend the reason behind why your pet cat behaves the way they do, then you will have absolutely no problem entertaining them, keeping them healthy, and keeping them happy. All you have to do is pay attention to your pet cat and to their cat behavior, and then you will be able to understand them better than you ever understood them before.
