If you will be in or near the Marietta, GA area on Sunday, October 8th, you are invited to visit the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Marietta (UUCM) to hear Dr. Leonard "Fred" Howard, MD, speak on the connection between the mind and the body, and its impact on medicine. It is now a well-documtented fact that how we think and feel affects our bodies in ways we are only now beginning to explore. This is your opportunity to learn more about this fascinating development.

Dr. Howard is an emergency room physician planning to become a Unitarian Universalist minister. He has recently completed seminary at Candler School of Theology and is about to begin Clinical Pastoral Education at Emory Hospital.

The service begins at 10:30 A.M. and will last approximately an hour. A nursery is provided for children under three, and there will be separate activites provided for children, who are also welcome to remain with their parents.

UUCM, a community dedicated to providing a venue for spiritual learning without regard to race, religious background, sexual preference, or any other factor, welcomes everyone. We only require an open mind and a respect for others. We are dedicated to social justice and to helping each other seek the truth wherever we may find it.

We are located at 1240 Villa Rica Road in Marietta, GA.
