Exquisite Dining at Avo's Bistro in Costa Mesa
Avo's is located in Costa Mesa and conveniently close to the Orange County Performing Arts Center, South Coast Repertory, and the South Coast Plaza. Avo's restaurant is spacious and employs a friendly and professional staff. Avo's offers the best in gourmet Greek & Mediterranean cuisine.
Menu items are prepared fresh daily, are cooked to order, and contain no MSG or other artificial ingredients. Each entree is prepared with Avo's special culinary presentations. Some popular dishes are the Braised Lamb Shoulder (fresh Colorado lamb shoulder slowly roasted in herbs for 7 hours, served with their special red wine sauce) Grilled Salmon (A generous fresh cut of a wild King Salmon fillet grilled and topped with a caramelized shallot sauce) and the Chicken Lemono ( A marinated, boneless, skinless chicken breast char broiled to perfection and dressed with fresh lemon mushroom sauce and julienned vegetables.)
After dinner, you can sip on the popular "Turkish coffee" and receive a traditional "reading" comparable to "reading tea leaves." One can't sip on the strong Turkish coffee though without having Avo's homemade Baklava or special desserts like Tiramisu or Chocolate Cake.
Avo's Bistro has a beautiful scenic patio deck with a panoramic lake view. Complementary parking is available in a safe and well lighted designated area. Avo's also hosts corporate parties, offers valet parking, and provides entertainment for special events and large groups. Hours are 11:00am-2:00pm daily for lunch, and 5:00pm to closing for dinner. EWW! This place should be reported! I saw the Avo guy reusing tahini sauce table to table. What are they thinking??? The floor and bar was gross too. Very rude to his own staff as well. Not the right way to run a business sir.....
That's horrible! Avo sounds like an Armenian!
this restaurant is very dirty. last time we were there, we saw 2 cockroaches. the food is not good neither. we ordered medium rare, they gave us well done dishes. the owner Avos is very rude when we asked about the cockroaches, since he said he hates all asian people and white people. he said he doesn't want non-mediterranean going to his restaurant. when we got the bill, he filled in the tips part for us too, saying that he knows when he first saw us that we weren't going to give tips.
