Destination weddings are weddings that are held in location that involves travel for the wedding party and the guests. The bride and groom may choose to wed in another town or in another state, for a variety of reasons. When planning a destination wedding, hotel accommodations are an important consideration. Extended stay hotels offer some extra home like features that make the stay more comfortable for the wedding party and guests.

Extended stay hotels are an excellent choice for wedding planning. The hotels usually offer more space, kitchen areas, separate living quarters and bedrooms. Some extended stay hotels are more like condos or townhouses, with one to three bedrooms and a living area for people to gather in.

The destination wedding is a great chance to combine a wedding party and trip. Weddings are often a time of reunion as well. Relatives and friends who do not see each other often have a chance to reconnect. There may be chances for impromptu gatherings and parties with groups of friends and relatives. The extended stay hotel with a separate living area offers a place to entertain without sitting in a hotel bedroom.

The kitchen and separate living quarters are great for the small, informal gatherings that tend to accompany wedding parties. The family of the bride or groom may wish to host an intimate breakfast, coffee, afternoon teas or cocktail party for groups of guests. The living areas also make ideal places for the present opening after the wedding.

Having the space available for gathering in the overnight accommodations can offer a big savings over having all of the small parties in the hotel restaurant or party rooms. In addition, the living areas provide a convenient gathering spot for the more casual and impromptu gatherings.

Since extended stay hotels have a kitchen area, people who may want to entertain have a place to store food and beverages that they stock up on. Simple snacks can be kept on hand and the refrigerator can be stocked with soda pop, beer, wine and any other beverage of choice.

Groups of guests may find extended stay lodging a more economical choice than renting separate hotel rooms. Families with children enjoy having the extra space and separate rooms for the children.

The attendants in the wedding party may enjoy staring in the same lodging, so that they each have their own sleeping area but share the living area. This provides a great place for the attendants to gather and coordinate dressing and all of their duties.

Destination weddings are an opportunity to travel and enjoy the time with friends and relatives during a very special event. Comfortable accommodations in a hotel with features that offer something extra can make that time more enjoyable.

You know I never thought of matching this chain to what you have as the subject matter of this article. But, you're so right, in real life, what these rooms offer is great for destination weddings. Good thinking, Christine.
