Extra Income

Looking for New Ideas?

Using your time wisely can lead to you to making twice as much money in the same amount of time.

Home Improvements:

First of all, and this is the single most important source of money; if you own or are buying your own home, any improvement you make, large or small counts. Painting just one room and improving the curb appeal of your home will translate into large returns. A beautiful garden alone can add as much as $10,000 value to your bottom line. It's a nice relaxing job and you get a healthy dose of the outdoors as well.

After School Carer:

Why not plant the new season vegetable gardening whilst watching a couple of neighborhood children after school hours. The kids will all want to help you. Not only is this enjoyable for everyone, it's also money in your pocket, twice. If the weather is unfavorable, stay indoors, put dinner on and jot down your new article notes for later in the evening while the kids watch TV or play a board game.

Forex Trading:

If you know how to trade on the Foreign Exchange (Forex) it is a simple 10 minutes to set your trades each morning and walk away. Most Forex sites have a practice account and although it takes a considerable amount of 'hit and miss' with play money, you will figure it out. Then your time is your own to run by the local flea market to spend $5 on their bargain basket. You can mark these up 100% and yard sale one Saturday each month.

Mend, Don't Replace:

If you work from home, get on the phone to brainstorm with a friend or settle a business matter while you mend a shirt. To many people are wasteful these days and throw good clothing away. You'll get both jobs done in no time and save $30 on a new shirt as well.If you're an accomplished seamstress already, write about it here!

Did you quit your job to have children?

Share your previous work skills with others. Become a telephone tutor or, again, write some articles on the topic. It doesn't matter whether you were once a Neuro Surgeon or a Handy-person, there will always be someone who can benefit from your advice.

Substitute Teaching:

Contact your local schools and ask what the requirements are to be a substitute teacher where you live. You get to play with kids and get paid for it!

When making items for the annual school Fair, make a double batch of simple crafts, send half for the Fair and sell the rest at the local consignment store or your yard sale.
