Extreme God Makeovers Can Move that Mountain!

Mark 11:22

Michele Starkey
I have a friend whose son is going through a valley in his young life. This morning, I read her blog post about praying Mark 11:22 and struggling with the belief that God will move the "mountain."

Faith is believing in things when the world would have you believe otherwise. The faith to move mountains is very real and I have witnessed it first-hand on more than one occasion. Miraculous healings, miraculous discoveries and miraculous God-events.

I enjoy reading the Message version of Mark 11:22 because it states the following, "Embrace this God-life. Really embrace it, and nothing will be too much for you. This mountain, for instance: Just say, 'Go jump in the lake, no shuffling or shilly-shallying' and it's as good as done."

I compare it to the show, Extreme Makeover. At some point near the end of the show, the host assembles everyone to shout, "Bus driver, move that bus!" The unveiling is sometimes hard to believe unless you are there to witness the transformation.

If we believe that God is the Lord of the Universe and the Lord of our lives, than no Makeover or Miracle is too impossible to believe in. Assemble your prayer warriors and ask God to do His handiwork upon your life. Stand back and shout, "God, Move that Mountain!" and it will move.

Whatever problem, difficulty or health crisis you may be facing at this moment in your life, it may seem insurmountable at this moment in time. It may be like a mountain in your path to wholeness and healing. Believe that God can (and will) hear your prayers and the mountain will move.

There is a website called Seek God and I found this passage on their site, "If you f ocus on the problem God looks small, when you focus on God the problem looks small." Focus on God.

No truer words were ever spoken. Set your eyes on things above and do not focus on the worldly things.

Today, I wish you the peace and the faith to know that God can do all things. Believe, just believe, and your mountains will move.

Inspiring piece, Michele. When we have God on our side, the problem becomes an opportunity, a learning experience that strengthens our resolve to face even bigger ones down the road - siva
