Hollow yellow eyes gaze at me
He paces

Path worn
not from eons of use
from generation to the next
but from boredom

Hollow yellow eyes gaze at me
again he paces

Deep with in those golden flecks
Freedom yearns
in hopes of joining a hunt
a pack he will never find

Hollow yellow eyes gaze at me
He paces

Nothing majestic
About a wolf
behind bars

    Oh, god, there is a sad sight -- an animal that was meant to be free in a cage! I get so upset and angry by things like this. Good work. We have got to give more of our time to groups that are working every day to protect our wildlife.
