Hollow yellow eyes gaze at me
He paces
Path worn
not from eons of use
from generation to the next
but from boredom
Hollow yellow eyes gaze at me
again he paces
Deep with in those golden flecks
Freedom yearns
in hopes of joining a hunt
a pack he will never find
Hollow yellow eyes gaze at me
He paces
Nothing majestic
About a wolf
behind bars
