A healthy vision is one of the most important things to have in life. It is good to be able to see and there are ways to keep your vision in good condition for a long time. Everybody know that when you begin to get up in age that your vision may not be in the same condition as it was before, but if you start sooner rather then later to take good care of your vision your chances for vision problems when you get older will be smaller. In school we was taught that eating carrots is good for our vision and the reason for this is cause carrots have beta-carotene which once they are in our bodies it is converted into vitamin A and we all know that vitamin A is the key source for a healthy eyesight.

Carrots are a great source for our eyesight, but carrots is by far not the only source of Vitamin A that is good for us. When you think of sweet potato's you probably think of pies and yams but, sweet potatoes are also a source that should or could be eaten for healthy vision. Eating foods with Vitamin A can cause you not to have that night blindness, if you have never heard of that it's just a saying that some people say when they can't see at night especially people that drive, but chooses not to drive in the dark due to this matter, it just appears that they cannot see that well in the darkness.

Pork, beef, liver, fish and chicken all have a good amount of Vitamin A that is good for your vision. When you are eating your morning breakfast you probably not thinking that you might be eating Vitamin A. Your morning eggs have a great source of Vitamin A because of the egg yolk. If you like a good glass of milk in the morning or throughout the day there again is a Vitamin A source and if you are into fruits which hopefully you are fruits like apricots, cantaloupes which has a excellent amount of Vitamin A, peaches and tangerine's all these will help you have a more healthy vision.

If you are a person that love to eat veggies then getting your source of vitamin A will be such a easy task. Collard greens which is a personal favorite has a good source of Vitamin A, spinach, peas, broccoli, and turnip greens all can give you the gift of a longer stronger sight. Just like you take care of everything on your body your eyes need to be taken care of as well because just cause you have good vision now don't mean you will have it later so prepare in advance for that reason be sure to eat healthy foods and be able to see your tomorrow literally.
