Overlooking the private beach is the Laguna Gazebo where many wedding ceremonies are held. These different venues can hold up to 600 guests for any occasion.

Once you leave the resort there is plenty to see and do. For shopping, a five-minute complimentary bus ride will take you to Bali Collection. You might also consider visiting and shopping at Batu Bulan known for its artisans who do stone carving. This village is about an hour away from the resort. Further away are the villages of Celuk for gold and silver jewelry and Mas with its word carvers. There are tours which will take you to many of these artisan villages. Most of these tours also stop at the "Bali Art Market" in Sukawati where you can bargains for textiles and various handicrafts.

In the Balinese culture, temples and their various structures are not worshipped but are meant to be a pleasant resting place for the gods on their stay on the island. Each house has a little shrine, usually a dedication to their ancestors. The rice field has a shrine dedicated to Dewi Sri, the goddess of rice. Every village usually has three temples and the island of Bali has the Mother Temple of Besakih, situated on the slope of Mount Agung, which is the most important temple. You'll want to go visit the Uluwatu Temple, one of the oldest and most spectacular Balinese temple. It's about a half hour drive from The Laguna Resort & Spa.

Surfing is also a popular sport in Bali and there are places to surf close to the resort. You can also go hiking, diving and white water rafting - the hotel concierge can help with information on tours and excursions for these activities. They'll also provide you with information on shopping and any local festivals going on during your visit.

Bon Voyage!
