Coffee cup wrapper patterns are a fun way to make fabric coffee cup wrappers. You can sew your own fabric coffee cup wrapper and skip wasting the paper cup wrappers at the local coffee shop!

Plus, using a bit of vintage fabric, retro fabric, or new fabric to make your own fabric coffee cup wrapper pattern is a fun way to show your personality!

To Make Your Own Fabric Coffee Cup Wrapper Pattern You Will Need:

Velcro

Fabric

Liner Fabric

Sewing Machine

Scissors

Tape Measure

To get started you want to cut out one strip of exterior fabric to 4 3 inches tall and 11 inches long. Any exterior fabric will do, but try to use a medium to heavy weight fabric. The reason for this is that it will simply add little more insulation for your hands!

Tip: If you want to go with a light weight fabric, then iron in a heavy weight fusible interfacing! This will make the fabric sturdy an provide plenty of insulation.

Now, for the liner fabric, this one is up to you. My recommendation remaking your coffee cup cozies pattern is to use rubber shelf liner! You know, then kind with holes in it, the non slip kind. You can find this by the role at the grocery store. I love this stuff!

Now, cut this, or any other fabric you want to line the fabric coffee cup wrapper patter with. It should be the same size as the exterior fabric.

Now, take the liner fabric and the exterior fabric and lay each face side up on the table. Pattern side up.

Take one strip of Velcro and sew it onto one end. Repeat on the other fabric. Both near one end, about ½ inch front the end. Cut strip of Velcro that is about 2.5 inches long and run it on the edge

Now, take the liner fabric and lay it pattern side down on the table. Top off with the exterior fabric of the coffee cup wrapper pattern face side up. Pin the two together.

Trim around the edge with a pair of fun pinking sheers. This will create a cool pattern.

Now, sew around all sides, bout ¼ inch in from the edge. You can use any pattern stitch you want, but a zig zag stitch is awesome!

You can also use a scallop stitch to even simply finish off by sewing around twice one line slightly inside the other!

By the way, fabric glue will work if you are using two heavy weight fabrics, but the stitch always looks better!

This is the perfect craft to sell on Etsy, give as a gift to someone who loves their take out coffee, or for you!
