Fabulous Hats: A Woman's Perfect Accessory

Jessica Ann
I have always been a hat person and I love to shop for hats. In my younger years I'd go to the most off the beaten path stores to find some of the best styles. The 2009 fall/winter season is the best time to find your perfect style and regardless of where you live you can always find a great hat to wear just about anywhere. I have been one who was never concerned about whether or not a hat is in style. If it looks good and stylish, then I say wear it. It also happens to be a great accessory for women when you're having a bad hair day. It is also a great item to have when you just don't feel like dealing with your hair. Here are some examples for you to check out if you like.

The Military Hat - A very stylish hat with a simple baseball cap appeal. The Military Hat is great for wearing with your hair tucked into it or for those with very short hair to shoulder length hair. A good choice for the warmer states since I believe it does look best with short or tucked hair, but it certainly still can look stylish with long straight hair or hair pulled back in a pony tail. You can check out an example of a really cool style at Banana Republic for $30.00. I love this particular hat as it gives you plenty of room to fit in even the most fullest of hair.

The Cloche Hat is also making a comeback from long ago. This was a very popular style in the 20's and 30's which fits tight against the head and definitely does not have the room for tucking. Cloche is French for bell which tells you exactly what this hat looks like. It basically looks like a bell and not the kind you stick on your child's bicycle. This style looks much more adorable on a short hair cut. Actually for this hat, the shorter the better. You can check out the various styles and colors at Couture Creations for the latest trend. You can expect to pay $145 and up for a Cloche hat here, but you'll get just about any color that exists. This will at least give you an idea of what you're looking for in case your budget is a little lower for a beautiful accessory such as a hat.

The very sexy and always stylish Fedora is going to be another great option as it always is and you can check out a few options at Nordstrom. At $65.00, these are not a bad choice when looking for the suave sophisticated look of a fedora. I especially like this hat worn with hair in a ponytail. A nice felt Fedora in any color is perfect for the fall/winter season.
