Facebook, Does it Reflect the Real You?

Faith Dosier
We write so much gibberish on out Facebook pages sometimes don't we? We've all seen or read a story that made the online news round for a day about someone who forgot the had someone on their friends list who saw something they wrote they didn't want them to know. Yes I know it is confusing but if you are possessed with hardcore Facebook skill then you followed that like a pro.

When someone writes, "Calgon take me awwwwwwaaaaaaaayyyyyyy" or "bow chika wow" does that mean we are serious to the rest of the world or that we can't handle the everyday life? I wonder because I've always read that and been warned by adults such as myself and even the news that I should be careful of what I put on Facebook or as my status message because employers won't hire you. As the years go on I see people I know with wild Facebook pages with great jobs and getting employed still. Where do these well meaning but restrictive constraints from society come from as it relates to what we do in our personal time and how come we take pause and give them credit. Could it an inborn altruistic behavior that we are born with to make us conform to a group of is it something all together much simpler and basic?
