What were you talking about? "I was in my living room watching TV & talking to my daughter who had just moved back from New Jersey 2 days before this happened..we were discussing the different stress's & lifestyles of life that's in New Jersey & New York..then boom the towers were hit!" - Vickie
Did you believe it was real? "I was here in Denver, playing Golden Eye 007 with my boyfriend. We decided to change the game so, I turned off the system. The first thing I saw was the plane making contact with one of the towers. We both watched, thinking it was a preview to a new movie coming out. Nathan made a comment on how realistic they were making things look now days, only it wasn't the next best CGI...it was real." - Glenda

Were your loved ones left wondering? "I was a fairly new Captain at American Airlines and I was getting ready to drive to Miami. I was supposed to fly that afternoon. I never made it to the airport that day, but I found out later that my oldest daughter (13) at the time thought I may have been the pilot on one of the planes." - Jim

"I was living in SC at the time, i didn't have the TV on, and was cleaning, a friend of mine called from church and said is that anywhere near your family, didn't know what she was talking about, everyone in the USA changed after that moment....I know I did....." We had a business in Pine Bush NY (the farthest from NYC that you could live and still serve as a 1st Responder) Several of our members lost loved ones. We stayed open until late that dreadful night and just held on to each other...forever changed. cheers (thru our tears)
