Facebook Pet Society: New Items August 17

This week's new items in Facebook's Pet Society include decorations with Asian and Arabian flair. From Bali Dancer Dresses to lovely Gazebos to dress up your garden, Pet Society has some really exciting and exotic new items this week. They've also included a few more really cute simple items for dressing up your kitchen or bathroom.

New items I've marked 'TWS' are this week's specials, and won't be around forever! Anything marked with an asterisk (*) is only available with Playfish Cash. So, let's break it down by store:

Another new feature on Pet Society is the opportunity to help a great cause, the World Wildlife Fund. Playfish, the company that created Pet Society, is working hand in hand with the WWF to help save the polar bear. To this end, they're now selling polar bear themed items in the Pet Society Cash Shop. For each of the items sold in the shop, Playfish will donate 10% of its cost to the WWF. Pet Society says that they will be adding new items regularly, so get in there and let's help save the polar bear!

For those of you not in the loop, Pet Society is a great social networking game on Facebook. You create a pet of your own, and start interacting with other pets. Meanwhile, you earn coins by performing various actions, such as visiting other pets, planting flowers, trees and vegetables in your garden and running hurdles races in the stadiums. One of the newest features is a fishing pond, where your pet can use food items as bait for catching fish. It's a lot of fun buying decorations for your home and competing with your friends to see who can catch the most unusual fish. Pet Society is a fun game for old and young alike, and can be downright addicting! So, what are you waiting for? Get over to Pet Society, create your pet and start networking!
