A dry leaf lay silently on the sidewalk,
Unnoticed and uncared for.
Trampled under scores of feet
Its soul humiliated to the core.
Unnoticed and uncared for.
Trampled under scores of feet
Its soul humiliated to the core.
Those green days of the yesteryear,
Sometimes come in its dreams,
Soon the vicissitudes of life,
Fills the mind with fear.
In a colorful lawn behind,
Blossoms a tiny flower
In full view of men.
Revelling in the glory of its newfound life,
Dances to the tunes of its brethren.
