Faces of Life

A dry leaf lay silently on the sidewalk,
Unnoticed and uncared for.
Trampled under scores of feet

Soon the vicissitudes of life,
Fills the mind with fear.

In a colorful lawn behind,
Blossoms a tiny flower
In full view of men.
Revelling in the glory of its newfound life,
Dances to the tunes of its brethren.

Very good one-truly inspiring and reflects the basic philosophy of life.
A thought provoking and inspiring piece of poetry.
