Only two shows into its first season, Fact or Faked has captured the attention of paranormal enthusiasts across the web, bringing well-known cases into the living room for investigation.
Part of the appeal to viewers, it seems, is to go beyond what the team has uncovered by trying to bring some sense to the unexplained. A recent episode revealed the mysterious Night Crawlers captured on surveillance equipment by a homeowner from Fresno, California. Neither Fact or Faked, nor the paranormal community at large, has produced logical explanations for these unidentified "creatures" that seem to prowl at night.
Promise of equally mysterious events keeps viewers eager for new episodes that explore the unknown.
Fact or Faked Investigations
The Fact or Faked Team tackles two new cases each week, as they form two investigative teams and head out to uncover yet another unexplained event that has the paranormal community wondering what in the world is going on.
Attempts to debunk the event are filmed and presented to viewers. For those that are explained, the book is closed. But, for those that remain, the mystery heightens.
Meet the Fact or Faked Investigative Team
Ben Hansen leads the team, with 6 years of experience as a criminal investigator. As a former FBI criminal investigator and a member of the State of Utah's Special Victims Unit, Hansen has what it takes to investigate the seemingly unexplained. His degree in Sociology and Criminology from Utah State, combined with his experience in the field, provides Hanson with a solid background for debunking paranormal claims. Pursuing his life-long interest in the paranormal, Hansen has a special interest in UFOs and secret government projects.
Jael de Pardo, formerly of Destination Truth, is a trained investigative reporter. Her skills include hosting, reporting and writing. Her skills as an investigative reporter, combined with her experience traveling the world seeking out the truth, place her in a prime position to boost the credibility of the show Fact or Faked.
Bill Murphy comes to the Fact or Faked Team as an experienced paranormal investigator. It is Murphy's knowledge of the unknown, from UFOs to ghosts, that adds a new dimension to the team. Experienced in both television and radio production, Murphy is also a presenter and offers his own DVDs on the paranormal. A video engineer in real life, Murphy hopes to bring the latest technology to investigations.
Austin Porter brings a degree in biology and experience exploring cryptids, especially Skunk Ape and lake monsters. As a scientist, Porter guides the team in following the scientific method in forming and testing hypotheses. With a life-long interest in the paranormal, and a few experiences of his own, Porter brings balance to the team.
Chi-Lan Lieu views the paranormal from a slightly different perspective from mainstream Americans, as her Buddhist faith provide alternate cultural and faith-based beliefs. Her background and experience with photography positions her to make educated assessments of both video and still photo evidence of the paranormal.
Larry Caughlan, Jr., tagged by SyFy as the groups "tech guy" has a degree in Science and Technology emphasizing film and photography. Caughlan pursues his life-long interest in the paranormal and claims to have seen Bigfoot when he was merely 13. His inability to verify what he saw propelled Caughlan to seek the newest and best technology to gather evidence of the paranormal.
Mark your calendars for Thursdays at 10 pm EST to watch Fact or Faked Paranormal Files on the SyFy channel and get ready to explore the unknown.

Post a CommentFYI, the Fresno crawler is most likley a flamingo.. My wife is from there and when she watched the poor vidieo (always a dead giveaway) it was the first words she said....Also I am a ufo investigator and a friend of Dr. Stephen Greer.....I had an encounter with a completley illuminated triangle early 1960's. This in itself is on of the most bizare stories and events I have had.
To much to say at this point and time, I hope your television show will be placed into a full season if not more.
