Generally, breakdancing is a dance style that is accompanied with ultimate body moves. These moves are born out from the genre of hip-hop culture. To some professionals, breakdancing is also known as a street dancing. Breakdancing was first born in the urban cities of United States by youths to get away from any forms of violence in their area.

Breakdancing moves are accompanied with music that is remixed personally by most breakdancers. A certified breakdancer or breaker can only dance the moves of breakdancing. Apparently, the breakdancing moves consist of dance athleticism and techniques. With this, the dancer or breaker is required to have a great deal of talent and stamina.

Basically, there are four kinds of major breakdancing moves that can be performed in different routines by breakdancers. These moves are the freezes, power moves, down rock and the top rock.

The freezes moves are designed to have dramatic effects and flare while dancing. These moves are performed with halt position and can be rated accordingly to difficulties on how long the dancer or breaker is able to suspend his feet away from the ground. Because of this, the breaker must have a great deal of strength on his upper body to perform.

The power moves of breakdancing require the dancer to have a great deal of physical power and momentum since the dancer will be relying on his upper body strength to be able to perform these moves. Some of the samples of popular power moves are the flares, swipes and windmills. Basically, the power moves are adapted from various gymnastic moves.

The down rock moves are also known as the foot rock in breakdancing world since it is the foundation of the foot work steps consisting of six basic steps. With these moves, the dancer or breaker usually performs on stage with both hands and feet on the floor.

The top rock moves are series of steps that are usually performed in standing positions. These moves are typically used to introduce any kind of routines during breakdancing performances.

Nevertheless, all above breakdancing moves are not possible to happen without the appropriate music and the heavy beat. The music may come from a various genres of R&B, soul, and jazz. It can be combinations or remixes of various genres added with heavy beats and tempo that are smoothly and quickly to follow.
