Facts Only Count when the Messiah Turns Out to Be a Dud

Donald Trump Finally Read My Article

J P Whickson
A month before the last presidential election, I wrote "Obama, Just Present the Documents!" The article was about the man that filed suit against Obama and the DNC, the Pennsylvania Attorney, Phillip Berg. He was shut down and shut up back then but Donald Trump now reopened the issue.

Back then, before we all experienced the raging spending of this administration and the international faux pas of the past two and a half years, few people were even mildly disturbed about the fact the DNC spent millions of dollars to keep the presidential hopeful's birth certificate out of court. However, today it's a different matter. Now Donald Trump has taken up the gauntlet and people tend to listen.

I presumed that Trump must have just read my article. (So why didn't I get any page views? HMMMM. Conspiracy? Now where did I put that tinfoil hat?) Why is this so popular now? Is it that we see America's savior is more a dud than a deliverer? Is the fact that Obama Care was thrust down our throats? Could it be that only now, after two and a half years of disenchantment, we finally decided to check the credentials of the man we call president.

Berg questioned the President's status as a natural born citizen and before the election; many considered him a "nut job." Was it the fact Obama fit the picture of the knight that saves our nation, the proverbial damsel in distress that forced Americans to look the other way? I've read so many comments that claim McCain wasn't born in the United States or that he needed to present his documents too. The fact is, he did. He was born on a military base, which for those that don't know, is U.S. soil. He also presented his birth records. The Obama proponents claimed it wasn't necessary for then Senator, Obama to present his documentation, but it seems it was for Senator McCain. I guess when you're the "Man of Change' (Something we now find means the amount of money left in the U.S. coffers) you have different standards than others.

Now, the issue opens again, but this time the person questioning Obama is a celebrity. That does make all the difference because as we all know, celebrities are brighter, they jump higher and they run faster than we mere mortals do. America has also had two and a half years of failures and faux pas from a man that promised delivery but failed to deliver.

This should be a lesson to all voters and even those that don't have the right or choose to exercise their right to vote. "Look before you leap." That old adage sound simple but too often it's ignored leaving us crying about the plight we could have prevented. Why didn't America demand proof before we found ourselves with a four-year disaster? Why don't we look at all the facts, not just the ones that we want to see, before we make important decisions such as who will be our next national leader? We don't because we're human and we all want to believe that everyone is good, we really won a Canadian lottery we never entered and that attractive member of the opposite sex loves me for who I am, not my money.

While "The Donald" brought this issue to light again, let's just examine the issue and not make Mr. Trump our new savior. Let's learn from our past mistakes and then make the future decisions based on facts. Would Mr. Trump make a good leader? I know that if you put him in front of a camera and give him a familiar scenario he's entertaining. I personally enjoy watching Mr. Trump and know he has business savvy and crowd appeal. I also know that not every venture he undertook was successful and aside from leading the Birthers this round, I haven't heard much substance. However, I'm not ruling him out. I'm simply withholding judgment until I get more facts. Perhaps that's something I've learned from past experience.

Will Obama be any better president if he finally provides his proof of birth? Uh, NO. What's done it done, most of us voted for the guy, and he's in office now. Hopefully he won't get a second term, but really- would his proof of birth change anything now? Maybe it would get him kicked out of office, but he's done enough damage already. I hope America focuses on finding (and voting for in an educated fashion) a NEW president, rather than focusing on this stupid thing. I dunno- all I can say is, I DIDN'T vote for Obama, so it's a bit of a "ha ha!!!" for those who did...

The birthing issue is the only way we can get the guy out of office! He keeps clinging like a bad dream.

Amen sister!! I tell you, it is like living in the twilight zone of late! What is going on with people... do they even see what has happened?? There needs to be jail time for all who were at the crime scene. Did they not even look to see if everything was in order before.."making him their man?" They all are guilty and need to go to jail! He has something over the other party for sure as they can't even bring it up before it is hushed! I'm speaking of impeachment!! Good write up and good reality check for everyone with their head in the sand... ya know you can hide your head in the sand but your backside will still be in the path of all the destruction...repossession of your house...radiation sickness...Sharia law... yikes! ...list is too long to mention them all :D

Good stuff! I think a lot of people feel a business focused person is what this country needs more than ever. Trump has business savvy -- Romney has an admirable business background, too. I think Romney may hold the most interest for me right now. Yes - that is despite the forced health care here in Massachusetts. Time will tell!

My mother has had some experience with Obama Care already. Consequently, she's in a hospice instea of getting the help she needs. I fear we have more of this with which to look forward.

You were well ahead of your time (and Donald Trump's too apparently). It's sad that it takes a celebrity to quell the blindness...if that's even possible. Another great piece JP!

I can't see Trump as president, but stranger things have happened.
