Failure: A Poem

Scott Bauer
Why should we fail?

It is always near

The beast of failure

That unholy creature

Who hunts all who dream

Our goals are hidden

In cloud and shadow

The road to success falters

And waivers

Blockades abound, like willows in a forest

Weeping from disappointments

Of the winds of fate
