Fairy Ornaments

Fairies are spirits or supernatural creatures that are believed to be present in the world. They are human in appearance but have supernatural powers. They are even known to have powers to cast spell and influence or foresee future. They are sometimes alluring, at times seductive and even frightening. Some fairies have wings while others do not.

Origin of Fairies

Fairies are known in the folklore. They were known to be diminutive people who lived in Celtic nations and British Isles and due to human invasion they seemed to have gone into hiding, possibly underground or in the hills. Some even say that fairies are supernatural beings who lived in the otherworld. The fear of fairies to iron was due to human invasion with weapons like swords.

Another theory about fairies is that they are gods and have control over the all the natural events in the world. The third theory is that the fairies belong to the world of the dead. Hence they live in the underground or the underworld along with the dead.

Fairy Ornaments

The mystical and fantasy world of fairies is brought to life by creators like Jessica Galbreth, Nene Thomas and Amy Brown. These artists create fairy ornaments which are hand painted statues in poly stone resin. They are provided with gold cord for hanging or to poke into plants. Others have a decorative base with a brass hanger.

The artist lives in Toledo Ohio. She uses watercolours, pen and ink to recreate the fantasy of fairies. Sometimes she even uses airbrush and acrylic. The artist is known for her unique ability to capture haunting and mysterious beauty of the goddesses and fairies. Her fairies display moods which range from elegant, sweet and wistful to defiant, dark and powerful.

Butterfly Ballerina Collection

They are resin ornaments which are handpainted and 5.5" tall. They are provided with a floral or butterfly sculpted based with a metal hanger. Available in Blue, Lavender, Mauve and Teal

These fairies are sculpted in polystone resin and handpainted with gold cord for handing and a decorative brass hanger. They are 6" tall available in amber, garnet, moonstone and sapphire. These gemstone fairies have the healing properties and also promote properties of creativity, confidence, friendship, love , spirituality and psychic awareness, honesty, faith and truth.

Zodiac Collection fairies are made of poly resin and handpainted. They also have the zodiac gemstone and their sign painted on their hands. These fairies are painted with colours and features of their zodiac.

Nene Thomas Collection

Nene Thomas lives in Okhlahoma with her husband. The artist uses watercolors to digital imaging and whatever media used the core element of her art remains the same. They are elegant, charming and have striking settings. A list of her collections is given below

Amy Brown Collection

Amy Brown is a popular fantasy and fairy artist whose fondness for fairies was an inspiration to make the fairy ornaments. Though she started late in her career in the making of fairies she gained success very soon. Her art exposes her inner and outer self. A brief of her collection is given below:

All are made of poly resin and hand painted. These fairies may be purchased as a single piece or a whole set. They can be hung from metal hangers or from the base.
