Faith

Jon Sugi
Lay down on the couch and hold her close,
As her hand runs through his hair,
He looks into her beautiful eyes,
With his heart pumping faster than ever before,
And takes her other hand in his.
Take a walk under the moon,
With all the distractions falling up,
Wind blowing in her hair,
And a kiss on the current time line,
But when will the dream end and leave me broken.
In bed sleeping, and yet pulled to walk outside,
Leaving my peace to go and hold her tight,
Talking about nothing but life,
As I pull her closer to kiss her head,
For she deserves better than me,
And I deserve so much less than her love.
Next morn waking to the sunrise,
Yet I have to leave to never return,
Yet as I walk her hand still holds me back,
What choice am I left with but to say nothing forevermore.
There she sits on the porch.
Make up or no I can see further than the eye can physically go,
Under the surface is a fear,
With past of broken tears,
And a hope that he is the one.
What is the chance it will fail,
Or the place it will fly,
I care more than she knows,
Willing to fight to death to hold her once more,
Against any fall out or storm.
And as the car pulls away his heart stops beating,
As her first tear falls to the floor,
But as fate would have it,
The relationship will endure the waves of the storm.
