Faith Hill, who has recently turned 41, is causing double-takes with her new bikini photo currently on the cover of Shapemagazine. Not only is she still charting hot, but this Country music singing mom of three shows that she still has hot body as well. Clad in a two-piece floral bikini, Faith Hill's decision to pose for Shapemagazine was a birthday present to herself. Judging from all the chatter on television, on the radio, and the internet, the shapely Mrs. Hill will no doubt be enjoying this year's commemoration of her birth.

Doing the cover of Shapemarks a first in Hill's career as well. Although she has graced the covers of hundreds of magazines over her two-decade career, this is her first bikini cover. Hill told People magazine that Pilates gave her the bravery to do the Shape bikini cover. Unhappy about her physical condition after not being able to exercise for six months (due to knee surgery in January), she and her husband, Tim McGraw, began a routine in July that included four miles on the elliptical, light weight lifting, crunches and push-ups. She also began taking Pilate classes three times a week. "I found I slept better, had more energy and was stronger," the singer told Shape.

Although there are several women who can lay claim to the title of Queen of Country Music, Faith Hill is either the reigning Queen or the heir apparent (aficionados can argue over the status of Reba McEntire, Shania Twain, and Dolly Parton if they wish). But nobody can deny that she's America's reigning Country Music sweetheart. People just like her.

And what's not to like? Faith Hill, in every interview this writer has ever seen her in, has presented herself as an extremely nice, calm, and collected young woman. She exudes a passive presence of accessibility. She never projects an in-your-face attitude, nor does ever seem to be hiding behind a façade. And perhaps that is the secret to her success - Faith Hill is genuine.

Genuinely nice. Genuiinely well-mannered. Genuinely likeable. Genuinely ladylike. Genuinely talented. Genuinely beautiful.

She told Shapemagazine that she went through exercise phases but, after having three children, she felt she needed a lifestyle change and began doing workouts, getting in shape. "I could bend in ways I haven't been able to since I was a teenager. My husband loves it!"

Faith Hill has been married to country music star Tim McGraw since 1996.

Her latest album, "Joy To The World," a compilation of Christmas songs, is her ninth album and is currently on the Billboard 200 album chart. It peaked at No. 51. Her husband, Tim McGraw, also has an album on the chart, a third compilation of hits called, appropriately enough, "Greatest Hits 3," which was released on October 7. It debuted at No. 9.

From her six studio albums (she also has two compilation albums of hits), she has released 41 singles and seen 8 of them reach No. 1, including her very first single, 1993's "Wild One," on Billboard's Country Chart and 3 hit No. 1 on Billboard's Hot Adult Contemporary Tracks chart.

She has won numerous awards and is a perennial nominee at the Country Music Awards and the Academy of Country Music Awards.

According to the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA), Hill has sold over 25 million albums in the United States. Among female artists, only Reba McEntire and Shania Twain have sold more.

Faith Hill bikini cover and interview in Shape magazine goes on sale November 10.

Shania Twain may not have a 4 octave vocal range but she's still the best singer in the world. Her voice is natural, like alison krauss (yes alison krauss has quite a wide vocal range) but they dont have to push their voices or lip sync or use autotone, they have a little something called talent. Shania is in a different league to every other singer because she writes the best songs ive ever heard, in fact they are more than songs, they are poetry, about real life and real things. She is the whole package, she is beautiful, dresses beautifully, musically gifted, wonderful role model, amazing singer and has a stunning body! how can you say that she is tone deaf, i would love to hear you sing like she does live, why dont you have a listen to this- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Aale6lOnU88 note perfect. So shania haters, go f*%k yourselves.

saul, yeah, it sounds like you do hate her. Shania became the biggest selling country female of alltime because she has the total package. She sings great, she writes her own great catch songs and classic ballads that are the top requested at weddings.
And Shania lives a very private life and doesn't need to be in the media all the time.FAith needs the attention because nobody buys her music.
While Shania could go on hiatus at her estates in Switzerland and New Zealand and comeback and still have the top selling album in the world when she releases new music.
Afterall it was Mutt Lange who pursued Shania and wanted to work with her because Shania wrote her own songs.
Shania is in a league of her own and is the total package.

If you want a true vocalist that sings country, she won't be in the superstar status. LeAnn Rimes is probably the closest. Carrie Underwood and Martina McBride both have great pipes, but to get airplay these days, it's all country-rock-pop. I love Tammy Cochran (sounds like Patsy Cline) but she seems to have disappeared.

Both Faith and Shania are good stylistic vocalists with Shania being a little more limited in range (but she writes her own songs). But then again when you are as easy on the eyes as both of these beautiful women are....you can get away with not being a 4 octave singer. At the end of the day....this ain't opera, it's country, and it's about the lyric, the emotion, and the delivery.....

I'll stick with the great producer Mutt Lange, jen, on the number one reason why Shania Twain became famous. She's tone deaf. Her range is one octave. She never goes outside of her range, catchy or not. Love her videos. Love looking at her. I bought her second album. And then that pop schlock third album, "Come On Over," came out. Waylon Jennings was right: "If that's country music, then I'm a Mongolian fighter pilot." And I don't hate her. I just got sick of listening to her sing in the same monotone.

What you see is what you get with Faith Hill. She's refreshing!

  • jen10/21/2008

saul, I am not the hater but you seem to hate Shania by saying she can't sing.
The truth is Shania has much more talent than Hill because Shania is the total package, she sings great, she writes great catchy songs and ballads, she is a great entertainer and class act.

Such a Faith hater, jen. At least Hill can sing, something tone deaf Shania has trouble doing. Shania Twain is beautiful but she does not have the talent that Faith Hill does. Besides, Twain's stuff is marginal country at best. More like country pop.

She's an amazing woman in more ways than one
