Fall Colored Crayon Candles

Ann Siper
Crayons make the coolest Fall candles since they come in so many cool colors. I love buying a hug box of all the Crayola Crayon colors and using some of the unusual fall colored crayon to make these dramatic candles.

To Make These Fall Colored Crayon Candles You Will Need:

Fall Colored Crayons

White candle wax

Wick

Pot

Jar or candle form

To get started you need to collect all the fall colored crayons you want to use. Use a cutting board and a knife to cut them down into small pieces of color. These should be about ΒΌ inc long or longer if you wish.

Make piles of the colors. You can mix and match the fall colored crayon in the candle or simple use one color.

Now, get the candle form ready. You can sue an old jar leftover from baby food or even pickles. You can also use a pre made candle form from the craft store.

Tie a wick to a pencil or Popsicle stick. Let the wick hang down into the bottom of ht candle container.

Now, take your pot on the stove and start melting some of your white wax. You can really use any color or even clear wax if you wish.

Start melting some of the plain white wax in your pot. Once this becomes liquid you want to take it off the heat source.

Stir in any scents you want. You can buy tons of pre made candle scents at the craft store or local art store. A nice pine needle scent would be perfect for a fall candle craft,.

Pumpkin spice candle oils would be awesome fo ran orange colored fall candle.

Let this cool for a second or two and then start stirring in the fall colored crayon pieces. You can stir this with a spoon or wood stick.

The longer you stir, the more the fall colored crayon will dissolve in the candle.

If you want to see chunks and bits, then do not stir as much. You can also play around with how much you let the white was cool before you at the crayons.

Pour this all colored candle wax into the waiting container. Let the wax cool and set for at least 24 hours.

Now, wrap the jar in a towel and use a hammer to break off the glass to reveal the candle.

Breaking the glass off is a great idea because the texture and surface of this beautiful fall colored candle is just too neat thanks to the fall colored candles.
