Fall Concert Season a Packed One in Detroit

Over the next couple of months, many local Detroit music venues will be packed with a number of high profile concerts.

The Fox Theatre will be playing host to American Idol sensation Kelly Clarkson on Sunday, October 25 and eclectic rock/folk star Bob Dylan on Friday, November 6. The pop star is touring in support of her new album All I Ever Wanted and Dylan is promoting his latest album Together Through Life.

BET is sponsoring the 106 & Park tour featuring R&B stars Trey Songz and Mario on Tuesday, October 20 at Saint Andrews Hall. Innerpartysystem and Saosin will also be playing the venue on Saturday, November 21.

Finnish goth rockers 69 Eyes will be playing the I-Rock Nightclub on Friday, October 23 in support of their new album Back In Blood.

Thrash metal band Gwar will be playing a show at Harpos Theatre on Saturday, October 17 and gothic metal band Type O Negative will be playing a Halloween night show there.

Hatebreed and David Allan Cole will be playing Harpos on Saturday, November 7 and Wednesday, November 25, respectively.

Metal stars Trivium will be performing at Clutch Cargos on Friday, November 13. Boys Like Girls and Cobra Starship will be there the following night.

Wednesday, October 21 sees star rapper Jay-Z taking the stage at Eastern Michigan University's Convocation Center. The rapper recently released his latest album The Blueprint 3.

Reggae star Sean Kingston will be playing the Emerald Theatre on Wednesday, November 11.

Hip hop group Wolfpac will be playing the Hayloft on Friday, November 13.

It's an 80's revival at Joe Louis Arena on Monday, November 9 with performances by Cheap Trick and Def Leppard.

Country stars Montgomery Gentry will playing at the Palace of Auburn Hills on Friday, November 6. Bruce Springsteen will be playing there on Friday, November 13.

The Palace will also play host to the Trans-Siberian Orchestra who regularly tour during the holidays on Sunday, December 27.

The Fillmore Detroit has the best lineup of the season. The lineup is kicked off on Sunday, October 11 with a performance by rock band Paramore who recently released new album brand new eyes.

The Used is at the Fillmore on Saturday, October 17. Mastodon is there on Wednesday, October 21.

Halloween night plays host to Insane Clown Posse's annual extravaganza Hallowicked. There will also be a afterparty at the Majestic Theatre. The band is promoting their latest album Bang! Pow! Boom!

Sunday, November 1 sees Kill Hannah, Papa Roach and Jet take the stage. The next night OneRepublic and Rob Thomas are there.

Eighties punk band The Cult takes the stage on Friday, November 6 and AFI will be performing on Monday, November 9. Saving Abel will be there on Saturday, November 14.

Thursday, November 19 is a big night at the Fillmore with perfomances by eclectic groups 311 and Kottonmouth Kings.

The Cranberries will make a stop at the Fillmore for their reunion tour on Tuesday, November 24 and hard rocker Rob Zombie will make a post Thanksgiving stop on Friday, November 27.

    Sounds like lot's of fun Tracy! We've got a lot going on here in New York, too. I've got three concerts in the next week myself...love it!
