September Events in Delaware

Delawareans have their pick of great craft shows in the fall. It makes no difference if you live above or below the canal there is a great craft show nearby. Here are a few of my favorite September Craft Shows in Delaware.

September 12

31st Annual Bethany Beach Boardwalk Arts Festival. You know if its been around for 31 years it's going to be a good one. This is a juried show with 100 artists. Jewelry, painting, pottery and glass are just a sampling of what you will find. Free 10 till 5.

Brandywine Arts and Crafts Festival. This show has been in Delaware since 1960, until this year. I am including it because it is a Delaware Craft Show Tradition, but for the first year the show is being held at St. Anthony of the Hills, 6742 Limestone RD. Avondale, PA. Unlike most fall shows that are free this show cost $5.00 for adults, $4.00 for seniors and kids are free. The show runs Saturday 10 till 5 and Sunday, 10 till 4.

Woodland Ferry Festival. Music, crafts, food and Ferry rides. This is a festival with crafts on the side, but still worth checking out. The John Smith Shallop will be on the Nanticoke River for the festival so take the kids for a lesson in history. Not far from Seaford, at Woodland, Delaware. Free 10 till 5

River walk Festival. Milford This is a great way to see Milford, Delaware. There will be carriage rides and train rides around town. Music, food, crafts and fun things for the kids.
