Fall Decor Idea: Beautiful Handmade Flower Arrangement

If you love decorating your house with unique handmade craft during Fall each year, this fall try making this beautiful flower arrangement. With very little effort you can put all this together. It is definitely going to be the talk of the town.

To make this lovely flower arrangement you will need

Materials

Double crepe paper: Orange color

Fall bush: dark color like violet and light color like yellow one each

Floral Wire: Gauge 18, 24 and 30

Floral tape: Green

Styrofoam green block

Basket

Scissors

Paper Knife

Glue

Pencil

White paper

Instructions

For the flower
Make stem using bare floral wire. You will need five wires of approximately 2.5 inches of Gauge 24 for one flower. Using glue, stick a very small orange double crepe paper in such a way that it looks like as in the picture attached. Do this for the rest of the wire cut.

Now bring together these five wires and stick them together using floral tape.

Print the template at 100%.

Take the double crepe paper of Orange color and using the template for petals cut them in sets of 3 for a single flower. Now keep the petal on the pencil and gently roll the pencil though the length of the entire petal. Make sure you curl the petal lengthwise just to achieve the natural curl like real lily petals. Refer the picture.

Take one piece of Gauge 18 floral wire around 6 inches long. Place the stamen at the top end, secure it with floral tape. Arrange the three big petals as shown in the picture. Bind them with Gauge 30 wire. Take he next set of thinner and straight petals. Place them in such a way that each one is in between two previous petals. Bind them together with Gauge 30 wire and then cover it with floral tape so that it is secure and no binding wire is visible. Using the same floral tape continue winding the Gauge 18 wire which is the stem of the flower. Your flower is ready. For this arrangement you will need one more such flower. Make it following the instructions above.

For the bud
Cut out the template for bud using the Orange double crepe paper. Fold the top ¼ inch and roll the piece of paper in such a way that it appears like the bud in the picture. Bind floral wire Gauge 30 around it and leave a little portion about 1 inch extra. Take the Gauge 18 wire around 8 inches long. Fix the bud on top of it. Wind floral tape around the wire so that no wire it visible. Continue winding the floral tape all along the stem.

For the fall flower arrangement start with keeping the base of the basket on a white sheet of paper, draw along its edges so that you know the exact shape and size of the basket. Cut the template and place it over green Styrofoam or Oasis floral foam. Using paper knife cut the exact shape. Insert the foam in basket. Refer the picture and insert the flowers and the bud. Fill the rest of the basket with fall bush making sure no foam is visible.

Tips

If you prefer smaller lilies then you can reduce the size to 75% and then print and cut for this fall decoration and make 4 or more lilies to make you unique fall decoration.
