Fall Fashion 2009: Popular Trends for Women in Their 20s

We know that "fashion trend" refers to the particular styles that are popular during certain times. Fashion trends are constantly changing and sometimes re-appearing decades later, as we can see as the 80s had made a re-appearance during more recent years. Everyone has their own style and fashion trends do not leave anyone out. Each year there are new designs to fit everyone's tastes.

Having the right apparel and accessories isn't all that's involved with trends; Colors are also important! According to Gill Hart from Suite 101 and Patone's Fashion Color Report, this Fall's colors will be less than traditional. They went on to say that the colors from the NY Fashion Week for Fall '09 "bridged the gap between beige and light gray, sophisticated lilacy-purple and teal blue, a very wearable red and a combination of fuschia and soft pink. Warmer colors were represented by a honeyed-up yellow and an earthy shade of orange, a darker version of this spring's ubiquitous tangerine. Super-shiny metallics also starred on the runways, with shimming gowns in silver, bronze and gold."

So, keep those color trend suggestions as you choose your Fall 2009 clothing. Here are some fashion trends for Fall 2009 for 20-something females:

Thigh High / Over the Knee Boots: Over the knee and thigh high boots are a top Fall 2009 shoe trend. You can pair these boots with leggings, pants, skirts, and dresses. Leather jackets: Leather jackets are also coming back for Fall 2009. Motorcycle jackets are the styles to wear. Pair these dark brown, tan, or black motorcycle jackets with any jeans wash. Forever 21's slant zipper moto jacket, seen here, would be a perfect addition to any long-sleeved tee, henley, or summer top.

Shoulder Baring Tops and Dresses: It's rumored that Michelle Obama is behind the one-shoulder-top trend. This Fall, shoulder-baring tops will be hot with women in their 20s. From short sleeve sweaters with one shoulder to wide boatneck tops, your shoulders are sure to get some eye attention this Fall! Wear solid warm colors like the ones listed above, with jeans or pants.
