Fall Fashion Looks for 2009

Reena Das
Fourteen long years for me in this country and for the first time I'm absolutely in love with the new fall fashion. The more I study it, the more I'm fascinated with the classic reminiscences of yesteryears. Fall fashion 2009 features the 40s era of pencil skirts, the plaids of 80s, the elegance of fedora, the glam and sham of the Rock & Roll and not to forget the nonchalant fashion statement of the boho chics. It's different, tasteful, and comfortable yet possesses a pizzazz. Let's talk about the key fall fashion looks you can incorporate in the coming months.

Fall Fashion Look: The Biker

Leather has taken the 2009 fall fashion scene by storm as runways channeled the biker mamas. From blazers, pencil skirt, dresses to leggings, leather is everywhere: short leather blazer from Louis Vuitton, paper-thin, curve-hugging leather pants from Alexander Wang, and a sexy dress from Chanel. And not just black! Designers like Matthew Williamson offered several hues to choose from. Leather skintight pants sizzle. This fall fashion look too edgy for you? How about a leather blazer? I love the short leather jacket from Jones New York that has the season's characteristic wide shoulders and is supremely stylish. Just perfect for chillier days of fall!

Fall Fashion Look: Plaids

In love with this style that provides an easy transition from work to play. The men inspired, big plaid shirts paired with boyfriend jeans is cool, comfortable and stylish. Or this stretch crinkle front shirt from Express with pleated cap sleeves and point color could is sassy and sexy. The runway inspired fall look of Maria Cornejo and Zero would appeal woman of any shape and size. The look included roomy plaid coats, hooded sweaters, leather accents, and skinny pants paired with flats and low wedges. "I'm all about comfort. You love to look fierce but you have to look comfortable, otherwise it doesn't work," she said. Well, the runway style isn't meant for everyone. But plaid is such a feel good, any woman kind of style.

Fall Fashion Look : Hollywood Diva

The look isn't just limited to clothes. It's in the rendering of the era of Old Hollywood through bold, scarlet lips, the moon manicure of the 20s.This fall pucker your lips to raspberry tinted lips that captured the runways as models strutted in nude, natural eye and burgundy hues of lipsticks. If the tomato red lipstick is too much commitment, tint a glossy version of gloss instead.

Fall fashion look emphasizes the individuality and strikes a unique chord with the old and the new world. Be sure to find a look that works for you!

This is so well written, it makes me think I could use a leather pencil skirt. Well, maybe not, but I like the plaid!
