Fall Festivals in Cape Cod

Lucy M

Cape Cod is a wonderful vacation destination any time of year! I especially like to visit during off peak seasons to avoid the crowds, though because it is so popular you will always find tourists. Fall is my favorite time of year for Cape Cod because of all the fabulous festivals.

In the fall you can pick from many festivals. These are a few of my favorite ones. I hope they are soon your favorite as well.

The Harwich Cranberry Festival in September is chock full of parades, fireworks, and entertainment venues. This festival is all about cranberries! The Bourne Scallop Festival is also in September. At this festival you can enjoy fried scallops, rides, attractions, and live music too. In October there is the OysterFest. You can enter shucking contests, take boat rides, and take in some of the great entertainment.

Festivals have something for everyone! The children love the rides and carnival atmosphere, adults love the shows and food, it's the perfect family vacation since everyone will be happy!
